Wait Until You See How the Chinese Humiliated President Obama

Capture

It’s impossible to overstate just how little the rest of the world’s leaders respect President Obama.

Whether it’s Iran making a mockery of our men and women in the Navy, or Russian leaders perpetually toying with American leaders, it’s clear that other nations don’t take the man seriously.

Another example of that occurred this past weekend, when the Chinese hosted the G20 summit and rolled out the red carpet for every world leader in attendance.

Every world leader, that is, except President Obama.

Authorities refused to provide a staircase for Obama to disembark his plane, intentionally, and he was forced to exit Air Force One from a little used exit that observers referred to as “the ass of the plane.”

Huh. Imagine that, an ass forced to exit from a doorway which bears the same name.

Via the Guardian:

China’s leaders have been accused of delivering a calculated diplomatic snub to Barack Obama after the US president was not provided with a staircase to leave his plane during his chaotic arrival in Hangzhou before the start of the G20.

Chinese authorities have rolled out the red carpet for leaders including India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, the South Korean president, Park Geun-hye, Brazil’s president, Michel Temer, and the British prime minister, Theresa May, who touched down on Sunday morning.

But the leader of the world’s largest economy, who is on his final tour of Asia, was forced to disembark from Air Force One through a little-used exit in the plane’s belly after no rolling staircase was provided when he landed in the eastern Chinese city on Saturday afternoon.

When Obama did find his way on to a red carpet on the tarmac below there were heated altercations between US and Chinese officials, with one Chinese official caught on video shouting: “This is our country! This is our airport!”

Here is video of the President’s humiliating departure from the back of Air Force One …

Symbolism like this is a major facet of Chinese culture. This snub was intentional, and it was meant to insult the honor of President Obama.

One expert who tracks the Chinese political scene says China was attempting to show the world, “‘Look, we can make the American president go out of the ass of the plane.’”

“These things do not happen by mistake,” said Jorge Guajardo, Mexico’s former ambassador to China. “Not with the Chinese.”

He added, “It’s a snub. It’s a way of saying: ‘You know, you’re not that special to us.’”

He hasn’t been all that special to Americans either.
