Newt Gingrich Proposes Jailing White House Leakers

During an appearance on “Fox & Friends” former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich argued that White House leakers should be jailed in order to send a message to individuals seeking to harm this administration.

President Trump has only been in office for a short time, but there is so much corruption in the swamp known as Washington, D.C. There should be no shortage of indictments and prison sentences.

Jail the leakers. Fire everyone who was hired by the Obama administration, all the way down to the flower arrangers.

If your neighbor steals a lawnmower and sells it to you, with you knowing it is stolen, you are guilty of possession of stolen property. Why then are the “journalists” that publish classified government documents not guilty of treason just like the scum that stole the documents in the first place?

As I stated before, Gingrich pinpointed the best strategy to deal with the leakers and hopefully, someone in the White House was listening to him and will take his opinions under advisement.

I wrote my newsletter this week on the very real notion that we should lock people up who leak secrets. Let me draw the distinction; there’s political garbage from people who go across to the Starbucks near the White House and they sit and they tell insider stories. That’s unfortunate you ought to fire them if you can find them.

But that’s not the same as violating the Secrecy Acts. People who violate the Secrecy Acts ought to go to jail. What happened with the Manchester information for example, after the bombing in Manchester, undermined the British investigation, weakened our relationship to our allies and it’s dangerous.

Whoever leaked that should go to jail. You start putting a few people in jail, and you’ll see the leaks dry up dramatically.

Newt nailed it! If there is no cost to those who leak information they will continue. It is similar to people illegally entering our country insomuch as “Why not” “There are no consequences if we get caught.” Maybe the “leakers” will form a “community” and rally for their right to leak. I’d love to see it. One mass arrest.

It will take people with a backbone like Gingrich to utterly break down the establishment’s smear campaign against Trump and his team. Changing the District of Criminals is going to be tough, that is for sure.

Just because we broke down the gates of the empire with Trump’s win last fall does not mean that we have drained the swamp yet. I also suggest that Trump crack down on some of the corrupt hacks in the media who in my opinion are guilty of libel and illicit slander against this administration.
