As the War on Christmas perpetuated by liberals has rolled on year after year, with such incidents ranging from schools demanding that holiday playlists contain no references to God, to atheists forcing Charlie Brown to seek legal counsel so the story of Christmas can be shared, it’s finally nice to see some good news.
It seems reports of Jesus Christ’s demise during the holiday season have been greatly exaggerated!
According to a new poll, Americans want to focus more on the birth of Christ during the holiday, and prefer shopping at stores that actually use the phrase ‘Merry Christmas’ as opposed to the watered-down PC effort of ‘Happy Holidays.’

Americans are winning the war on Christmas, with most people saying the holiday should be more about Jesus than Santa, a new poll shows.
A Rasmussen Reports survey released Thursday finds 71 percent want to keep Christ in Christmas — up from the 60 percent who favored Christ over Claus last year, and near the level recorded in 2012.
According to Rasmussen Reports, only 14 percent think Christmas should be more about Santa, down from 20 percent a year ago.
Also, 64 percent say they prefer stores with signs saying “Merry Christmas” over ones with “Happy Holidays,” while 24 percent prefer the generic greeting and 12 percent are undecided.
The folks over at Beliefnet have offered a handy list of ways to keep Christ in Christmas, including suggestions to light Advent candles, consciously write out the word Christmas instead of shortening it to ‘Xmas,’ and the seemingly obvious proposal to go to church.
Meanwhile, here’s a reminder from Linus of the Peanuts gang, on what Christmas is all about – “For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a savior, tis Christ the Lord.”
