According to a new Gravis Marketing poll of Democrat voters in New Hampshire, Bernie Sanders is surging.
The poll released last week shows the self-described socialist senator with a strong lead in the important primary state. 250 Democrat primary voters were asked, “If the New Hampshire 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary were held today, who would you vote for?”
Bad News for Biden
Sanders is in the top spot with 21 percent, followed by Joe Biden with 15 percent, and Elizabeth Warren takes third with 12 percent. The fact that Warren couldn’t place second in this poll is significant when you consider that she and Bernie are battling for the same far-left political space and both represent New England states in vicinity of New Hampshire.
After Warren, Mayor Pete Buttigieg got eight percent, only one point above Kamala Harris’s who received seven percent. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) got five percent, followed by Amy Klobuchar, Andrew Yang, and Tom Steyer who all received four percent support. The remaining candidates garnered two percent or less.

Sanders Won New Hampshire in 2016
“It is important to note that Sen. Sanders won the New Hampshire Democratic Primary in 2016,” said Gravis Marketing President Doug Kaplan. “However, it is unlikely that Sen. Sanders will have a repeat of his 2016 performance in the state due to the number of candidates in the race this time.”
It should be noted that Sanders’ surge in New Hampshire does not appear to be a fluke. Real Clear Politics poll average shows Sanders is moving toward Biden, who now leads the field by less than three percent.

The socialist senator has been drawing huge crowds to his New Hampshire campaign events, calling the president “an overt racist, sexist, xenophobic, religious bigot.”
Which is completely ridiculous – and also probably part of why his support is increasing.

A Great Election Scenario for Conservatives
Sanders represents the far-left of his party, which has began to define the Democrats overall. Moderate Dems might see “The Squad” Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar as extreme aberrations, but many Democrats sympathize with them.
And Bernie Sanders is currently leading that wing of the party.
Combine their radical socialist rhetoric with constantly bashing President Donald Trump – including telling every lie about him imaginable – and there’s a good chance Sanders could dominate in more primaries than just New Hampshire.
Conservatives should hope for such an outcome. On election day in 2020, if Americans are faced with the choice of a President Bernie Sanders or four more years of President Trump, who do you think they will choose?
It would be a nightmare scenario for Democrats, and likely a great one for the country.
