MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinki: Biden Just ‘Extremely Flirtatious’ But ‘In a Safe Way’

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski came to the defense of former vice president Joe Biden, admitting that he has a history of being “extremely flirtatious” but in “a completely safe way.”

It’d be difficult to envision President Trump being afforded this level of defense for any allegations of improper conduct.

Brzezinski, co-host of ‘Morning Joe’ with her husband, Joe Scarborough, was discussing a personal angle on the Biden controversy, which includes new allegations by former Nevada Assemblywoman Lucy Flores’s that allege the potential 2020 candidate inappropriately kissed her and smelled her hair.

Prefacing her comments with the fact that she’s “known [Biden] for a long time,” Brzezinski explained that he “is extremely affectionate, extremely flirtatious in a completely safe way.”

That’s all.

Just a Misunderstanding

Surprisingly in the #MeToo era, Brzezinski downplayed Flores’ allegations as the woman misunderstanding Biden’s intent.

“I am sure that somebody can misconstrue something he’s done,” she surmised. “But as much as I can know what’s in anyone’s heart, I don’t think there is bad intent on his part at all.”

Wait … Where were all these ‘she simply misconstrued his intent’ arguments when false accusations were made against Brett Kavanaugh, or when the President was caught on tape engaging in locker room talk about his exploits?

Oh, that’s right. It’s only offensive and outrageous if a Republican does something like this. When it’s a Democrat, we laugh it off as ‘extremely flirtatious,’ good ol’ ‘Joe Biden being Joe Biden.’

Mika Jumps to Conclusions

Despite being reserved in her commentary on Joe Biden’s behavior, Brzezinski has a history of jumping to conclusions and assigning guilt in matters involving the President.

Last year, the ‘Morning Joe’ host spread a rumor that one of the biggest complaints of Trump’s presidency is that he can’t access adult-themed movies in the White House.

“I know someone who spoke to Donald Trump recently about life in the White House,” Brzezinski said without evidence, “and Donald Trump’s biggest complaint was that he’s not allowed to watch porn in the White House.”

She has also asserted that the Russia collusion conspiracy would lead to jail time for Trump’s team.

“I think they’re shocked that the noose is tightening and that people might go to jail,” she claimed before adding, “for the rest of their lives.”

Of course, as we know, the Mueller investigation exonerated Trump and his campaign from any collusion with Russia in the 2016 presidential election.

Mika’s defense of Biden shows she’s just another host on MSNBC who isn’t even vaguely concerned with accuracy or fairness.
