Liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore shamelessly tried to use the coronavirus pandemic to fuel his own radical agenda by claiming that COVID-19 is a “gentle” warning from planet Earth before it takes its “revenge” on humans for climate change.
On the latest episode of his “Rumble” podcast, which was released on Tuesday, Moore talked about the “planetary emergency” he claims that Earth is facing. He went so far as to say that the current pandemic, which has killed over 72,000 Americans at the time of this writing, is just a taste of what’s to come.
“I believe that we are in a planetary emergency. A planetary emergency, my friends. And I’m not talking about the coronavirus,” Moore, 66, said at the start of Tuesday’s episode. “Viruses are a part of nature. This is their planet, too, they are a form of life and, like another species I know well, they are killers. This current pandemic is simply Mother Nature giving us a gentle warning. I know you’re thinking, ‘Mike, uh, gentle? There’s over 3 million around the world infected by this virus and a quarter-million people are dead. You call that gentle?’ Yes, I do. I do, but I do not diminish how God-awful serious this is, how tragic it is for people that have been sick who’ve lost loved ones.”
He went on to call on his fans to think of coronavirus as a specific warning about climate change. “I really want all of you to please take this moment, take this virus as Earth’s slap on our collective face,” he said. “Treat it as if nature is trying to tell our species to back off, slow down and change your ways.”
Moore then shifted away from coronavirus altogether to focus solely on the climate change crisis that he claims will worsen in the coming years. “You do understand that this planet can remove all of us in the snap of its fingers?” he asked. “I know what you’re thinking, ‘Thank God the planet doesn’t have any fingers.’ But nonetheless, if you think COVID-19 has been a bummer, then trust me, you literally can’t imagine just how awful Earth’s revenge against us is going to be for trying to choke it to f—ing death. We are in a serious, multilevel planetary emergency.”
Moore is just one of many celebrities shamelessly using this deadly pandemic to push their own climate change agendas. Just last week, actress Jane Fonda spoke out to demand that COVID-19 relief funds be used to fight climate change. Her former “Barefoot in the Park” co-star Robert Redford even argued that climate change might be a good thing because its quarantines could help the world fight climate change.
It’s shameful that we are currently in the midst of a pandemic that has killed hundreds of thousands of people all over the globe, yet all these liberal elitist celebrities can think about is how it will benefit them and their ridiculous climate change agendas.
