Little Girl Was Afraid of Police – Until She Met This Hero in Blue!

Michael Harris
Here’s a news story that’s going viral of a black man stopped by a white police officer – but unlike what we typically hear on the news, this is a positive story.

Michael Harris was driving outside Dallas with his daughter asleep in the truck when he was pulled over by a commercial vehicle enforcement officer. After no doubt seeing Black Lives Matter propaganda in the media, the little girl was understandably terrified. But her father and Officer Mike Collins turned the encounter into a teachable moment, according to WFAA.

While the two men were calm, Harris’ daughter woke up from her nap and started crying, fearful the officer would hurt her dad.”I don’t want her to feel that way about police,” Harris said.

Officer Collins and Harris worked together to calm 7-year-old Mikylie. After issuing the ticket, Collins showed Mikylie his patrol car and let her play with the lights.

“It meant a lot to see him take the time,” Harris said.

The simple act of kindness prompted Harris to post about it on Facebook after the fact. He said he wanted people to see black men and police officers getting along.

“It was priceless. Hearing ‘Thank you for doing your job’ meant so much,” Collins said.

This is how we change things: from the ground up, person to person, community to community. If everyone plays a part, working together instead of against each other like Black Lives Matter agitators, we can begin the racial healing in America.

Bravo to father Michael Harris for setting a great example for his daughter!
