President-Elect Trump’s Top Pick For National Security Adviser Revealed!

One of President-elect Donald J. Trump’s closest advisers, and one-time contender for Vice President, Army Lt. General Michael T. Flynn is at the top of the list to be America’s next National Security Adviser.

Initially reported by NBC News, Flynn has long been a strong advocate for Trump, refusing to bow down to political correctness that he believes has poisoned America’s military.

From Free Beacon:

Flynn, a former Defense Intelligence Agency chief who favors closer U.S.-Russia relations, served as a military adviser to Trump during the campaign. His appointment does not require Senate confirmation.

Trump spokesman Jason Miller said Flynn met with Trump on Wednesday evening, noting that he would make a “fantastic addition” to the administration.

Liberal NBC News called Flynn a “controversial figure” because he “stayed by the GOP candidate’s side even as other national security experts sharply criticized him during the campaign. NBC News reported in July that Trump’s team vetted Flynn as a possible vice presidential running mate.”

Flynn served as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency from 2012-2014 but left abruptly following multiple clashes with the Obama administration. Like Trump, Flynn has called for NATO to be “modernized” and was heavily critical of the Obama administration’s announced plans to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul from ISIS ahead of time “just insane.”
