First Lady Melania Trump made the long-awaited reveal of her anti-bullying and drug use campaign on Monday, and liberals reacted by mocking her over her English language proficiency.
In her speech at the White House, Melania revealed that the campaign is called “BE BEST,” and is aimed at promoting positive social media practices and preventing opioid abuse among students.
“There are too many critical issues facing children today so the three main pillars of BE BEST will include well-being, social media use, and opioid abuse,” Melania said. “We can and should teach children the important of social and self-awareness, positive relationship skills, and responsible decision making.”
This is an extremely pertinent campaign. Unlike in the past, bullying doesn’t stop once school lets out – it follows students home and affects them in ways that parents who grew up without social media can’t possibly conceive. As for opioid abuse, one needs only watch the news to see how rampant the issue has become, particularly in more rural and low-income communities.
Unfortunately, blue checkmark liberals completely missed the heart of the campaign because they just couldn’t get past “BE BEST.”

Look, I don’t really lay into Trump’s family. Not even his adult kids, who are just complete assholes. And the three pillars of this initiative are great!

The sad thing is that these people likely can’t see past their hatred and bias to realize that they’re acting just like the immature bullies that Melania’s campaign hopes to combat. Hopefully, one day they’ll learn to grow up and be better – “best” is probably too high a mark for them.
