Megyn Kelly didn’t hold back when discussing the Obama Administration’s complete silence on the death of Kate Steinle, a 32-year-old woman shot and killed by Francisco Sanchez, an illegal immigrant who had been deported five times but found a safe haven in the sanctuary city of San Francisco.
Kelly forcefully asked why the President personally spoke on the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Freddie Gray but had no words for Steinle’s murder. The White House also sent officials to Brown and Gray’s funerals but failed to send anyone to Kate Steinle’s funeral. Kelly specifically focused on the attention following Brown’s death. The Department of Justice later cleared police officer Darren Wilson for the fatal shooting, concluding it was justifiable self defense.
“His funeral saw three Obama officials in attendance,” she noted. “His death drew comments from President Obama personally, and the administration sent in the DoJ and 40 FBI agents dispatched to Missouri after Michael Brown was killed. Where is the swarm of agents in San Francisco?”
Liberal talk radio commentator Richard Fowler was a guest on the show. He attempted to defend the White House’s picking and choosing concern for victims whose deaths fulfill the White House’s narratives and policy ambitions.
It is hard to defend the indefensible and that was what Fowler attempted to do.
