Massive Brawl Breaks Out On American Airlines Flight After Passenger Refuses To Wear A Mask

A video is going viral this week, showing a massive fight breaking out on an American Airlines flight after a passenger refused to wear a mask.

The fight reportedly broke out on a flight from Las Vegas to Charlotte, North Carolina after a woman said she would not wear a mask and refused to get off the plane. The video was shared to Twitter by Caryn Ross, who captioned it, “Nothing like a morning Fight Club as tempers flared on American Airlines LAS-CLT flight today…. So much for social distancing.”

The video opens with a group of women standing in the aisle of the plane, which is waiting for takeoff. One woman could be heard shouting at another, who then punches the first female. Only one of the women involved in the altercation is wearing a mask.

All hell breaks lose from there, with the women viciously punching each other until they fall onto nearby seats. This does not stop them, however, as they just keep trading blows.

Police eventually arrived on the scene and escorted at least one of the women off the flight. American Airlines released the following statement to Fox News:

“On Monday, a customer on American Airlines Flight 1665 with service from Las Vegas to Charlotte failed to comply with our mandatory face-covering policy after boarding the aircraft prior to departure. In accordance with our policy, the customer was subsequently asked to leave the aircraft and became disruptive, resulting in an altercation with other passengers.”

Ross’s husband, who filmed the footage, said that the argument initially started over seat assignments, and quickly escalated from there.

This just goes to show how high tensions are right now amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Masks have been politicized to the point where massive fights like this one are breaking out when someone refuses to wear coverings.
