Marianne Williamson, a self-help author who ran for President in 2020, has officially announced she will primary Joe Biden for the Democrat nomination in 2024.
Williamson made the announcement at a kickoff event in Washington, D.C. this past weekend.
“We are upset about this country, we’re worried about this country,” she told a crowd of hundreds. “It is our job to create a vision of justice and love that is so powerful that it will override the forces of hatred and injustice and fear.”
Her remarks were reminiscent of Williamson’s 2020 campaign which featured calls for hippie-esque spiritual healing.
The Democrat primary challenger then angled herself as an outsider to the political establishment and acknowledged she is a long shot.
“I have run for president before. I am not naïve about these forces which have no intention of allowing anyone into this conversation who does not align with their predetermined agenda,” she said.
“I understand that, in their mind, only people who previously have been entrenched in the car that brought us into this ditch can possibly be considered qualified to bring us out of it.”

Marianne Williamson Rips Media For Rolling Their Eyes at Her Primary Challenge
News of Mariane Williamson’s primary challenge was largely met with a collective eye-roll from Democrats and the media alike.
Democrat strategist Matt Bennett told The Hill that Williamson “is not a credible candidate in any respect.”
To be fair, neither was President Biden, and look where we are today.
“If that’s the only primary challenge he faces, Joe Biden can rest very easy until the general election,” Bennett added.
When is Joe Biden not ‘resting very easy’?
To her credit, Marianne Williamson isn’t taking the disrespect lying down. In an interview with ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl, she was confronted with the Associated Press calling her “the longest of long shots.”
She proceeded to hand the AP and Hillary Clinton their ass all in one shot.
“I would also bet that the Associated Press also said that Hillary Clinton was a shoo-in,” she fired back.

Led ‘Prayer of Apology’ to Black Audience
To be sure, Marianne Williamson is not a serious contender for the White House. But she isn’t exactly so far off the reservation that she doesn’t represent your typical nutty Democrat candidate either.
She is a staunch opponent of the Second Amendment and previously proposed paying $500 billion in reparations to descendants of slavery.
And, despite insisting she’s not a “wacky new-age nutcase,” once demanded white fans at a tour event join her in a ‘prayer of apology’ to black members in attendance.

In 2016, Williamson penned a poem titled “Prayer of Apology to African-Americans,” of which excerpts were used at the 2016 event.
“With this prayer I acknowledge the depth of evils that have been perpetrated against black people in America,” she writes. “For all the oppression and all the injustice … I apologize, please forgive us.”
How is that any different than somebody like Biden, Elizabeth Warren, or your average cookie-cutter Squad member?
Just two months into Joe Biden’s presidency, Williamson said she was “already so tired of hearing excuses.”
