In a recent interview with Reuters, music icon Madonna called the lack of gun control in America “frightening” and described it as a “huge problem.”
“When you think about the amount of people who have died, been killed, have been wounded, whose lives have been changed irrevocably because of the lack of gun control in America, it’s such a huge, huge problem,” the singer told Reuters. “It’s pretty frightening, yes, it’s pretty scary.”
Naturally, the 1980s pop idol and left-wing activist did not specify what type of new gun regulations she thought were needed. Nor did she note that there already exists a labyrinth of state and federal laws, including background checks that have applied to every retail firearm sale for over 20 years.
The mass shooters who have destroyed so many lives and made national headlines in recent years–nearly every one acquired his guns through such checks, not to mention waiting periods for buying firearms and other laws the singer is apparently unaware of. California has some of the strictest gun control laws, but they have not prevented mass shootings.
But that’s not even the most ignorant part of what Madonna said.
How many anti-gun celebrities like Madonna walk around with armed security? How many anti-Second Amendment politicians do the same?
And why? Because they know there are dangerous people in this world intending to do them harm. They know they need armed protection.
But what about the average person? While celebrities and politicians are obviously often bigger targets due to their fame, non-famous citizens are also vulnerable and often need firearms to protect themselves and their families–necessary tools of defense out-of-touch entertainers like Madonna don’t want them to have.
Madonna newest album features a gun control anthem titled, “I Rise” that includes snippets of a gun control speech by Emma Gonzalez, one of the Parkland shooting survivors.
Gonzalez’s and even Madonna’s voice should be heard. But so that of millions of average Americans who cherish their Second Amendment rights, precisely because it allows them the armed protection so many rich liberals want to deny them.

Hey Madona suppose your body guards were unarmed, and you did'nt live in a gated community. In the United States we are able to protect ourselves.
Ho Hum...another has been celeb who think their opinion matters.
I see they're still playing, "follow the leader" in Hollywood. Problem is, they all think they are the leader and every one of them is dumb as dirt.
Madonna is "Stupid" about that anyway.
STUPID.
Isn't it fabulous when WAY over the hill "entertainers" get to voice their opinions
on things ?
How about if she shared her opinion on how eggs are bad for you...or, how much is
the RIGHT / CORRECT amount of salt and pepper we all SHOULD use, according to Madonna...or other Hollyweird 'experts.'
Most of us wouldn't dispute music score with her...she KNOWS music.
Dance, monkey, dance and sing.
The perfect gun control law is the 2nd amendment, Read it, understand it (if you can) and live by it and stop the crap of trying to disarm a nation. For you jacka$$es that have the armed security lets start there with getting rid of them and lead the way if you want to disarm any one. Oh you say you cant cause of people out there that may harm you? Well that kind of goes for EVERY ONE in the world. Just a tidbit of info to learn is that the US is 16th in the world for gun violence. whats that you ask whos number one? that would be Finland. The antigun countries of Australia and the UK are about number 4 and 5. My hat is off to New Zealand for telling the anti gunners there disarming isnt going to happen (530 firearms turned in out of 300K).
More wisdom from the woman who thought it was a good idea to have sex with Dennis Rodman.
FK Madonna and all Democrat politicians..take away all armed security and break down their walls surrounding their mansions. Let's start with Kameltoe Harris and Piglosi, Schumer and all of the Black Caucus of racist hate.
does this answer Madonna's comments?
