Trump Administration Redacted Information About Lynch-Clinton Tarmac Meeting

As we all remember, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch recused herself from the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server after a private meeting at an airport with President Bill Clinton last summer. We only learned of the meeting between the two because a freelance journalist was tipped off to it.

It wasn’t long after that Clinton met with the FBI for a lengthy private interview… and promptly got off the hook just days later.

It seemed more than just a bit suspect to everyone, including now-President Donald Trump.

Even Diane Feinstein called for an investigation into Lynch over her suspicious involvement in the FBI’s investigation.

Now, there’s a new development in the case….

The Justice Department released a redacted version of talking points it created about last year’s tarmac meeting between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton, and claimed that the information could be withheld because of the government’s “deliberative process” privilege.

The conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request to obtain numerous documents related to the meeting, and eventually had to sue the Department of Justice to obtain the documents, which included the redacted talking points.

“It is jaw-dropping that the Trump administration is blacking out key information about how the Obama Justice Department tried to spin Loretta Lynch’s scandalous meeting with Bill Clinton,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton in a press release. “President Trump should order the full and immediate release of these materials.”

The tarmac meeting became a major campaign issue in 2016, and was reignited thanks to recent testimony from former FBI Director James Comey.

In his June testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Comey said Lynch had asked him to refer to matters about Hillary Clinton’s email server as a “matter” instead of an “investigation.”

It’s all in President Trump’s hands now. If he wants to truly expose Loretta Lynch and the Clinton campaign as a whole, all he has to do is un-redact those documents.

Then we’ll finally learn the truth about that meeting.

Let’s hope President Trump does the right thing.

  1. Information can be redacted if it is pertinent to an ongoing investigation, to limit the opportunity of the about to be accused to fabricate an alibi. Besides, it’s not as if Trump is sitting at the Resolute Desk with a magic marker. This stuff is done at the behest of the investigative agency – i.e. FBI, for reasons that may or may not become apparent, and may or may not relate to other investigations.

Isn’t that headline incorrect? Didn’t you mean “Obama Administration Redacted Information About Lynch-Clinton Tarmac Meeting,” not “Trump Administration”?

  3. After thinking about why trump would seemingly be on the side of both HRC and LL, I could come up with only one logical conclusion.
Given the depth of HRC’s willingness to involve, corrupt and add names to her mental rolodex my opinion was as follows.
    1. far to many elected officials have been involved with her in scamming money, power and access to foreign nations equivalent of our CIA, FBI, NSA etc. I suspect political party had nothing to do with who HRC corrupted. The more republicans, the more power. The more democrats, the more personal cover.
We have seen so called government officials, like the former head of the CIA the FBI, The HS, the NSC, The DOD, NASA, NPR, OSHA, all double speak, all accuse trump of multiple misadventures and or take the 5th in recent months. the russian accusations are classic divertissements.
In other words, if Trump takes HRC out, with factual, objective proof, she is likely, and capable of taking out a good third or more of our ‘leaders’ our national level bureaucrats and the leaders of our civil service.
Think of the people we have had on our payroll. Think of those on it now. Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schummer, Dick Durban, Maxine Waters, (in fact most of the black caucus) Kamala Harris, and all the other less then admirable people.
If this isnt a list of likely accessories after the fact, I am not sure anyone might be. Follow the money. See who or our honorable elected officials are now millionaires after 2 or 3 terms? Than look at who is in power, and has been since HRC was the wife of the president, the senator from NY and the secretary of state. Start with the power positions, the committee heads, the loud mouths that get face time on TV. We have a decent reason as to who, why and why not when it comes to action by this president. We, the Americans who still believe in our constitution and the rule of law must support him in helping him get rid of these people. Must, or our republic will soon be equivalent to Haiti in 10 – 20 years.

    1. Marc, You may be a gentleman and a scholar, but your opinion is full of mistakes and assumption based on your mistakes the render you opinion null and void. Try to understand the issue before you commit it to writing. I am not trying to embarrass you . You need to do some research and study a bit. Then try again.
