The word “sarsour” translates directly to “cockroach” in Arabic – and that’s particularly fitting for faux-feminist and Women’s March leader Linda Sarsour.

How did a pro-Sharia Islamist who was forced into an arranged marriage in her teenage years (which she supports) become a feminist icon to the left? God knows – though it is a reminder just how insanely radical the left has gone in recent years.

She’s made a shocking number of anti-women comments in the past for someone who wants to present herself as a women’s rights advocate. In fact, “demagogue” may be a better way to describe her style of advocacy. Among her shocking comments? Aside from her support of Sharia Law (including not allowing women to drive in Saudi Arabia), she infamously said of female genital mutilation victim Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Brigitte Gabriel, “Brigitte Gabriel=Ayaan Hirsi Ali. She’s asking 4 an a$$ whippin’. I wish I could take their v****as away — they don’t deserve to be women.”

When confronted over the comment following a speech she gave at Dartmouth University, she dismissed the student questioning her on the basis that he was simultaneously both “white” and “male.”

What integrity!

Would it really be a stretch to assume that Sarour’s presenting herself as an advocate for human rights is just a facade to enter the national political dialogue? It’s hard not to get that impression from a woman who describes herself as “Palestinian-American,” even though she was born in New York.

And she certainly was never an advocate for the women who worked for her.

According to Fox News,

According to a report Sunday night. Allegations of groping and unwanted touching were brought to the attention of Sarsour during her time as executive director of the Arab American Association. “She oversaw an environment unsafe and abusive to women,” Anna Fathelbab, a former employee at the Arab American Association, told The Daily Caller. “Women who put [Sarsour] on a pedestal for women’s rights and empowerment deserve to know how she really treats us.”

Fathelbab told The Daily Caller that Sarsour threatened legal and professional damage if she went public with the sexual assault claims. “She told me he had the right to sue me for false claims,” Fathelbab said, adding that the assaulter allegedly “had the right to be anywhere in the building he wanted.”
Fathelbab claimed her attacker would sneak up behind her during work and rub his crotch on her.

“It was disgusting,” Fathelbab told The Daily Caller. “I ran the youth program in the building and with that comes bending down and talking to small children. You have no idea what it was like to stand up and feel that behind you. I couldn’t scream because I didn’t want to scare the child in front of me. It left me shaking.”
Fathelbab said her allegations would result in her get written up for disciplinary action. She told The Daily Caller she was once forced to talk to a detective from the community liaison division about the consequences of making false claims to the authorities.

After her contract expired and her work with the Arab American Association was finished, Sarsour “allegedly” told her that she would never live in NYC again as long as she lived. And why? For the crime of reporting the Muslim who had sexually assaulted her.

Women are routinely blamed and punished for their own sexual assaults in the Muslim world – perhaps Sarsour would be happier living overseas. We’re certainly all sick of hearing from her.
