Legendary Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka was interviewing on radio row at the Super Bowl when the discussion turned to politics… Something “Iron Mike” has never shied away from or minced words with.
Ditka was asked about Donald Trump, Obama, anti-American snowflake Colin Kaepernick, and sports journalists who demand Tom Brady distance himself from the President.
Those are some hot topics, and Ditka, an ardent Trump supporter and rare outspoken conservative in the sports world, didn’t pull any punches.
On Trump
Ditka said President Trump is doing a great job and will be a better leader than Obama “who did nothing as President.”

On Obama
The coach who led the Chicago Bears to a dominating Super Bowl championship in 1985 said Obama provided “no leadership at all” during his eight years in office.
He added, “If he (Trump) can screw it up half as much as Obama, I’ll be surprised.”
On Kaepernick
Ditka essentially suggested that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his petty antics in boycotting the national anthem would be completely ignored if not for his sports celebrity.
“He’d (Kaepernick) be a complete unknown without the game of football. … And not to respect that, you’ve got to be a pretty unintelligent person,” the coach said.
Ditka has previously told NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, “If they don’t like the country, if they don’t like our flag, get the hell out.”
On Sports Journalists Criticizing Tom Brady’s Friendship With President Trump
Ditka saved some of his best vitriol for sports journalists demanding that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady denounce his relationship with President Trump.
“I think these people are — can I say this? — that they’re a——-,” Ditka said.

Sports media has been fuming ever since Brady was caught with a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat in his locker.
Ditka has been very outspoken before, once having his role reduced at ESPN following a statement that Obama was “the worst president we’ve ever had.”
