President Donald Trump called out New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand for being a “flunky” for Democrats and said should “would do anything” in exchange for campaign contributions.

“Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging” for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED,” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.

Trump’s tweet is likely in response to the senator calling for the him to step down Monday evening. Gillibrand said he should either step down as president, or go through a congressional investigation for the “assault allegations” against him.

“President Trump should resign. But, of course, he won’t hold himself accountable. Therefore, Congress should investigate the multiple sexual harassment and assault allegations against him,” Gillibrand tweeted.
