Kayleigh McEnany Torches Squad-Member Cori Bush As ‘Totally Blinded Politician’ For Police Comments

Kayleigh McEnany Cori Bush

Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany has spoken out to slam Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), a member of Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) radically liberal Squad, for defending paying for a private security detail while making demands to defund the police at the same time.

Bush Boasts About Paying For Private Security

“They would rather I die?” Bush told CBS News after being confronted about her own private security. “You would rather me die? Is that what you want to see? You want to see me die? You know because that could be the alternative.”

She added that her “body is worth being on this planet,” and that the attacks against her are coming from a “white supremacist, racist narrative.”

McEnany Fires Back

McEnany, however, was not having any of it. She fired back by saying that “little babies across the country who have been victims of crime also matter.”

“These children’s lives matter, and they depend on having police in their neighborhoods,” McEnany said on Fox News. “This is just a totally blinded politician making a statement like this.”

“They think they are simply more important than the rest of us,” Tomi Lahren added of Bush.

Fox News contributor Joe Concha called on the media to challenge Bush on this in every interview she does moving forward.

“Ms. Bush should be pressed in every interview about why in city after city that has reduced police funding — from New York to Minneapolis to Seattle along with many more — has resulted in more death, more damage, more people fleeing those cities. Because there is no good answer,” Concha said.

Progressives Controlling Democratic Party

McEnany and her fellow “Outnumbered” panelists agreed that Bush and her fellow progressive colleagues are steering the Democratic Party right now. They also said that Bush’s remarks will cost her party in next year’s midterm election.

“She is certainly giving AOC a run for her money when it comes to that, oh boy,” Lahren said. “The Democratic Party is in shambles.”

“These are the quotes that are going to haunt Democrats in the midterms,” agreed Josh Jordan. David Hookstead then described Bush’s interview as a “golden TV ad” for Republicans.
