Joy Behar Defends Bill Clinton For Monica Lewinsky Affair: ‘Look What Trump Gets Away With’

In the new Hulu documentary “Hillary” which came out this week, former President Bill Clinton opened up about his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky like never before, saying that he had done it as a way to manage his “anxieties.”

On ABC talk show “The View,” Joy Behar struggled to defend her beloved Clintons, arguing that Hillary was the real victim of her husband’s affair and that President Donald Trump has done far worse things.

Unfortunately for Behar, however, all she accomplished with this segment was reminding all of us once again just what an ignorant liberal she really is.

Guest host Sara Haines kicked things off by saying that there are no real winners in this, adding, “But I do think there was a loser and my heart breaks for Monica Lewinsky—”

That’s when Behar first started to unravel, immediately interrupting Haines when she tried to show sympathy for anyone but the Clintons.

“My heart breaks for the United States of America because Hillary should have been president and don’t think that that whole affair didn’t play into it,” Behar interjected. “That’s who I feel sorry for.”

Haines refused to back down, saying that it’s sad that Lewinsky has had to spend her life paying for one bad decision she made in her early 20s.

“He said he did it to release—relieve anxiety. Whatever happened to Xanax?” Behar joked in response.

Once again, it was up to conservative co-host Meghan McCain to act as the voice of reason.

“I follow her on Twitter and I follow her work she does now,” McCain said of Lewinsky. “I think she’s an interesting voice and anti-bullying advocate and I like the person she’s become but it’s not without these horrible struggles. I do think the #metoo movement never seems to hit Bill Clinton.”

“Yes, it does,” Behar stubbornly protested.

“He got oral sex from an intern who was 21, and I don’t know, I think he gets a lot of passes in the Democratic Party,” McCain said, pointing out that Hillary herself said that many Americans blame her for the affair while still loving her husband.

“When you go back and reread the way some people covered him like Tina Brown and I believe Maureen Dowd, they said the fact that he had an affair makes him sexier,” McCain added.

That’s when Behar circled this back to her favorite topic: Bashing Trump.

“Look at what Trump gets away with, my God, compared to that. It’s unbelievable,” Behar said as the liberal audience cheered.

“Trump, to my knowledge, hasn’t received oral sex in the Oval Office and I do think there’s still a big difference between the…desecration of our White House,” McCain fired back. “To me it was the beginning of the end of a lot of things in this country.”

“I hate to say this but the desecration of the White House began long before—” Whoopi Goldberg began before Behar interrupted again by saying, “With Trump.”

“No, no, it began long before Bill Clinton. You have the Kennedy years and you have—” Goldberg continued.

“There are some great presidents who have not cheated on their wives,” McCain said to conclude the segment.

Liberals like Behar love to accuse Trump of being a “sexual predator” while ignoring the fact that the real known sexual predator is their beloved former President Bill Clinton. They are quick to point out any remote sin committed by a Republican, but when it comes to one of their own, they hand out free passes for every infraction.

If Trump or another Republican president had done what Bill did, the Left would have made sure that he could not so much as show his face in public by now. This is yet another example of the hypocrisy that runs rampant in the Democratic Party, and it’s exactly why so many Americans can’t take liberals seriously anymore when they get up on their soap boxes and try to lecture the rest of us on how to live our lives.
