John Kerry Hints That He’ll Take on Trump in 2020

If you look at the early betting, the big money is on liberal senators Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren to launch 2020 presidential campaigns. Among the other names that pop up as less likely choices include Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, and Cory Booker.

Nobody has placed a bet yet on a man who just expressed interest on launching a run, perhaps because it’s not being taken seriously. He lost an election before running against an incumbent who failed to win the popular vote but won the electoral college. His name is John Kerry.

According to Breitbart,

Kerry hinted during a recent meeting with a close associate of Palestinian boss Mahmoud Abbas that he might throw his hat in the ring for a second time in an act of “resistance” to Trump, according to the Jerusalem Post.
According to a leaked account of the meeting, Kerry told Abbas aid Hussein Agha that the Palestinians need to “hold on and be strong” because soon Trump will be gone. Kerry reportedly added that Abbas should “stay strong in his spirit and play for time, that he will not break and will not yield to President Trump’s demands.”

Kerry has dismissed concerns over his age, as he’d be 77-years-old when taking office if he were to win the next presidential election, taking the record for the oldest president in history. The record is currently held by Trump, and was held by Ronald Reagan before him.

It’s truly doubtful that Kerry would even beat his fellow Democrat candidates, let alone Trump. If John McCain or Mitt Romney were to run again, do you think they’d even make it through the primaries? Of course not. If they lost once, they’ll probably lose again.

There’s always a disadvantage when a candidate takes on an incumbent, and that’s only compounded when you consider the conditions under which Democrats will be running under Trump. In absence of a complete 180, Trump’s 2020 opponent will be running against record stock market gains, record low unemployment (especially among minority groups that usually tend to vote Democrat), the destruction of ISIS, rising wages, and lower taxes.

Who can beat that? If there is someone capable, it’s certainly not John Kerry.
