Meghan McCain chided her fellow hosts and the audience of “The View” after President Trump’s Chief of Staff John Kelly was criticized.

“The View” insults John Kelly

With John Kelly, a retired four-star Marine general, set to leave the White House, there’s been a ton of speculation on who will replace him. (RELATED: Ayers Declines Chief of Staff Job, Trump Reportedly Considering Mark Meadows.) Likewise, liberals have decided to heap scorn on Kelly for having the gall to work for President Trump.

Host Sunny Hostin made the following remarks about Kelly:

When John Kelly was appointed, I’m thinking, you know, “He is this four-star Marine general — he will be the adult in the room.” But it’s clear that they clashed, that Trump did not listen to him, and honestly, he came in with this wonderful reputation, and I think the administration tarnished that reputation.

Hostin brought up Kelly’s short-lived feud with Rep. Frederica Wilson, who accused the general of racism. (RELATED: Frederica Wilson Accuses White House Chief of Staff John Kelly of Racism.) For all this, she said his reputation is totally in tatters. The crowd clapped happily along like they’d all just swallowed a handful of goof balls.

Meghan McCain defends John Kelly

Meghan McCain, whose no stranger to the sacrifice men and women in uniform give to this country, immediately jumped in to correct her co-hosts. Here’s what she said:

I just think it’s weird to be clapping. Whatever you think about his politics, he lost his son in combat for freedom. And, again, clapping in that way and — your call, everyone can interpret him differently — I do think that there are some things that precede politics. I think service and being in the military and losing a son and being part of a Gold Star family is one of those things.

She’s absolutely right, of course. There’s something disgusting and, dare I say, heinous about people who can’t see past partisan politics to recognize the sacrifice and integrity of others.

Liberals try to destroy a four-star general’s reputation

Since it was announced that Kelly is leaving the White House, liberals have decided to get in their shots on his way out. Socialist representative-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called him a coward the other day, showing off her ignorance of the great sacrifice our troops make for our freedom. The liberal hosts of “The View” clearly have no shame. But I don’t know who is worse: Joy Behar and Co. or their audience.
