John Cusack Urges ‘Boycott’ of Donald Trump’s State of the Union

The '1408' and 'Con Air' star also called for the president's impeachment and said tonight's address will be a 'gruesome charade'

Actor John Cusack (pictured above left) does not want anyone to watch the State of the Union address by President Donald Trump from Capitol Hill.

The “Say Anything” and “War, Inc.” star took to Twitter on Monday night to urge people to avoid the important address to the nation.

“Boycott state of the union,” the actor wrote.

“Don’t watch.”

While the outspoken liberal doesn’t want you watching Trump discussing the issues currently facing America, he does want you to hear what the other side of the political aisle has to say.

One user responded to Cusack’s call for a boycott by saying people should “skip” ahead to responses to the State of the Union by Stacey Abrams and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

“Or just skip to Stacy Abrams for the recap, and Bernie Sanders for the people’s address,” wrote the user.

Cusack responded by simply saying, “yes.”

In another Monday night tweet, Cusack said the president should be impeached.

“Start impeachment already,” he wrote in reference to Trump and the Robert Mueller investigation.

In another example of Trump Derangement Syndrome taking hold, Cusack said people should “pummel” members of Congress who partake in Tuesday night’s State of the Union — which he referred to as a “gruesome charade.”

“Pummel any member of Congress that participates in this gruesome charade,” he wrote in response to a user’s comment that he has no plans to watch the State of the Union.
