Former CIA Director Admits He Doesn’t Know if Trump-Russia Collusion Exists

Ever since Hillary Clinton’s historic loss to then-candidate Donald J. Trump in the 2016 presidential election, Democrats and their friends in the liberal media have been breathlessly pushing a Russian conspiracy theory that President Trump is a puppet of Vladimir Putin.

The left has provided no evidence for their claim, yet that hasn’t stopped them from treating such allegations as fact, serving to undermine the Trump administration.

Yesterday, the liberal media spent all morning spinning their narrative – pretending that John Brennan was providing some smoking gun for their conspiracy theory – with these headlines:

But when Brennan appeared under oath in Senate testimony, he sang a totally different tune than the media narrative. He poured more cold water on the left’s conspiracy theory, saying he had no idea if any collusion between Trump officials and the Russians actually existed.

From The Daily Caller:

[Trey] Gowdy asked Brennan if he had seen any evidence of collusion, coordination or conspiracy between Donald Trump and Russian actors.

Brennan responded that he had seen information about contacts between Russian and U.S. actors that led him to believe the matter should be investigated further by the FBI, but declined to say whether or not he saw direct links between Trump and Russia.

Gowdy, still unsatisfied, responded, “Well, there are a bunch of words that start with ‘C’ floating around.”

“I asked you about collusion, coordination and conspiracy, and you used the word ‘contact,’” Gowdy said. “Contact could be benign or not benign. So was it contact you saw…what was the nature of what you saw?”

“I saw interaction,” Brennan said. “But I don’t know. I don’t have sufficient information to make a determination whether or not there was cooperation or complicity or collusion.”

Here’s video of Brennan’s admission below:

This confession should put an end to these shameful conspiracies being peddled on the left, but they won’t.

Despite Brennan’s admission, the left will undoubtedly continue to peddle this false narrative, as they cannot accept that their candidate Hillary Clinton lost to Donald J. Trump last November.

For weeks, the media has been providing over-the-top coverage claiming that Brennan had knowledge of a supposed Trump-Russia tie. However, when he was forced to testify under oath, Brennan could not give the left what it wanted: actual evidence of collusion. Brennan has been the poster boy for the left, as they routinely tout him as knowing that Trump colluded with Russia to influence the election, without providing real evidence.
