America’s conscience is back, and he’s taking a moral sledgehammer to Republicans once again!
That’s at least the reaction liberals are having to the latest monologue by late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel.
But first, remember this drivel?
How Jimmy Kimmel became America's conscience https://t.co/iwcMgc8X6q pic.twitter.com/L6bOgqkktS

Kimmel, it was discovered, was no shining light of moral truth. He’s been fed a steady diet of liberal talking points by none other than Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. What many liberals called “conscience” was pathetic shilling.
That hasn’t stopped Kimmel from being a Democrat mouthpiece, however.
Last night, Kimmel brought out his child, fresh from heart surgery, to demonstrate the importance of children’s health, namely the government’s continued funding of it through the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
Liberals predictably swooned over Kimmel lambasting Republicans for proposing cuts to the 20-year-old program. Here’s what he said:
Parents of children with cancer, diabetes and heart problems are about to get letters saying their coverage could be cut off next month. Merry Christmas, right? This is literally a life and death program for American kids. It’s always had bipartisan support, but this year, they let the money for it expire while they work on getting tax cuts for their millionaire and billionaire donors.
I’ve had enough of this. I don’t know what could be more disgusting than a tax cut that mostly goes to rich people ahead of the lives of children.
Powerful stuff, right? How can Republicans be so heartless as to strip children of health care just as Santa is coming is to town?
Like nearly everything the media reports nowadays, the story is a mix of lies and bias that has no grounding in reality.
First of all, Republicans haven’t cut CHIP. The House of Representatives passed a bill funding the program, which many Democrats actually voted against:
One last point on this topic. If @MarlowNYC had done even a little research before accusing Republicans of trying to kill CHIP, he would have noted that the House passed CHIP funding in November. Most Dems voted against it. https://t.co/Xw1qS8EgRA

That’s strike one. Strike two comes when Kimmel conflates tax cuts with cuts to CHIP. They are not one in the same, and it’s deceitful to say children will suffer because corporations and individuals will get to keep more of their money come tax season.
Almost every word of this is wrong. Forgetting about the tax cut argument, CHIP funding has nothing to do with the Republican tax plan. In fact, Trump just signed stop-gap funding and the person leading the CHIP funding effort is Orrin Hatch (R). pic.twitter.com/6EACjiNcJc

Strike three is the fact that CHIP is currently funded until the end of January 31st thanks to an emergency spending bill that passed Congress last week.
And Kimmel repeating misleading Dem talking points on every issue while crying and using his kid is getting really old. How many times are these guys going to fall for the same act?
P.s. with the stop-gap, every state has enough funding for CHIP until Jan 31.

In the rules of baseball, Kimmel is out. In the rules of politics, he’s a charlatan and a fraud.
And in the rules of basic decency, dragging his child on stage right after heart surgery and spreading lies and disinformation for political purposes is just depraved.
What shameful, grandstanding garbage. Kimmel needs to stop using his child as a political prop.
Share this story with others to show them Kimmel is a fraud!
