Reporter Caught Swearing Into Hot Mic – ‘This is What F—ing Happens’

Jim Acosta North Korea

CNN’s Jim Acosta hasn’t been on his best behavior during President Donald Trump’s historic summit with Kim Jong-un in Singapore.

The man has been no friend of Trump’s since his first (and only) press conference as President, in which Trump took down reporters’ questions like a verbal firing squad. When Accosta tried to inject a question after Trump had chosen one from someone else, Trump famously replied “Not you. Not you.  Your organization is terrible! You are fake news!”

In Singapore, Acosta was back to shouting questions again. As President Trump was signing a document with Kim, Acosta shouted, “Mr. President, did we agree to denuclearize?” Trump replied, “we’re starting that process very quickly.” (RELATED: At Historic Moment for Peace, CNN’s Jim Acosta Shouts Something Jaw-Dropping).

Earlier in the day, Acosta shouted “Mr. President, how is the meeting going so far, sir? Any progress, Mr. president.” He also asked, “Mr. Kim, will you give up your nuclear weapons, sir?” even though Kim barely speaks English, and couldn’t answer such a question.

This kind of behavior is pretty common from Acosta, but a comment into a hot mic that’s allegedly from him is even more embarrassing. Here’s the conversation that was picked up by audio on Russia Today’s feed of the event:

Jim Acosta: Mr. President, how is the meeting going so far, sir?… Any progress, Mr. President?… Mr. President, how’s it going so far, sir? What do you think?

President Trump (from the balcony with Kim Jong-un): Very, very good.

Jim Acosta: Mr. Kim will you give up your nuclear weapons, sir?

(Reportedly Acosta): (After President Trump and Kim Jong Un exit the balcony) Hey, if they’re not going to let me in the f—ing meeting, then that’s what happens.”

While we don’t have any visual evidence that Acosta made the comment, it did sound like him, and the context would make sense. It appears that the “that’s what happens” is a reference to him shouting questions directly to Trump at Kim because he can’t get into the “f—ing meeting.” You can listen for yourself below (video should begin at 2:40:50):

President Trump will be interviewed on “Hannity” tonight to discuss his meeting with Kim, and answer all the questions that Jim Acosta wanted to ask himself.
