Katy Tur Accuses Jeff Sessions Of Chanting ‘Lock Her Up,’ But Video Tells Another Story

Jeff Sessions lock her up

While speaking at Turning Point USA’s High School Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions joined in a chant of “lock her up,” presumably directed at two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. At least, that’s what the mainstream media wants you to believe.

Tuesday morning, Dafna Linzer, managing editor of politics for NBC News and MSNBC, tweeted that “The attorney general of the united states [sic] just joined a chant of ‘lock her up’ at an event in DC.”

That was the entire tweet. No clarification as to what the event was or what had actually transpired.

A few minutes later, MSNBC journalist Katy Tur quoted Linzer’s tweet, adding that Sessions had “ample opportunity on the 2016 trail” to lock up Clinton.

However, as with most things reported by MSNBC, it was fake news. Video of the address reveals that Sessions did not, in fact, join in the chant. He simply repeated what the students were saying, as if in realization, and had a bit of a chuckle. Watch below.

As you can clearly see, Sessions didn’t chant anything. Indeed, even staunch liberals called Tur out for her misleading tweet.

Of course, @JakeVK then went on to suggest how Tur should have framed the narrative against Sessions:

Just unreal. Conservatives are damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Meanwhile, Clinton continues to get away with things that would have landed anyone else behind bars.
