On Tuesday morning, Jane Fonda appeared on the ABC talk show “The View,” where she declared that we have only 11 years until the world will see a climate “catastrophe” — so we must all go march in the streets immediately and protest to stop it!
No, we’re not kidding. This is what she really said.

Fonda On Getting Arrested for Her Protests
CBS News reports that 81-year-old Fonda has been holding climate change protests in Washington, D.C. each week, calling the events “Fire Drill Friday.” The actress explained that she even moved to Washington specifically to fight climate change and has ended up getting arrested for it four times in the past month.
Fonda told co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Abby Huntsman, and Joy Behar that the conditions of her holding cell “weren’t great for old bones like mine.” The outspoken liberal said she felt worse for people who get arrested that aren’t taken care of by the government through “social safety nets.”
Fonda added that “it’s only going to get worse as climate gets worse and more and more people are harmed.”

The 11-Year Countdown Begins
“Even the climate scientists are saying we’re not going to be able to turn it around,” Fonda said. “We have 11 years to avoid catastrophe, and we can’t do it unless people mobilize by the millions in the streets.”
Nor does Fonda believe there’s enough time to vote for anyone except politicians who make fighting climate change their top priority.
“We have to fight for the future of these young people,” Fonda said. “It’s really going to be hard, so we have to be incredibly brave, and we have to be willing to risk arrest and go into the streets and put our bodies on the line.”
AOC Said Basically the Same Thing
Of course, Fonda found plenty of sympathy for her beliefs on The View, though her “11 year” claim is hilariously close to what Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said in January about millennials fearing the world will end in 12 years if climate change isn’t addressed.
“Millennials and people, you know, Gen Z and all these folks that will come after us are looking up and we’re like: ‘The world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change and your biggest issue is how are we gonna pay for it?'” AOC said.

This is what these liberals and millions more like them honestly believe. Its fear mongering ratcheted up to the extreme. Remember, these are the same people who kept warning Donald Trump might become an authoritarian dictator or even believe he is one today.
Jane Fonda, by all means, keep marching in the streets. Just don’t expect anyone sane to join you.
