Joy Behar Says World Series ‘Lock Him Up’ Chants Directed at Trump Was a ‘Beautiful Moment’

On Monday, when the hosts of ABC’s “The View” discussed the World Series crowd booing President Trump and chanting “lock him up” over the weekend, at least one host thought it was a “beautiful moment.”

‘It’s a beautiful moment when we’re using his words against him’

Meghan McCain said, “That’s in the middle of the Washington, D.C. swamp. If he had been in, I don’t know, a Diamondbacks game, it might have been a different reaction.”

“Just look — I think people are pissed at him. People are legitimately angry at him,” Whoopi Goldberg said. “It was a whole bunch of folks — black, white, Latino, Asian. It was just a whole bunch of people, and I think people just — they didn’t want to give him very much because, in a way, you’re all correct about what’s going on. People are annoyed with him.”

And then Joy Behar chimed in.

“It a beautiful moment when we’re using his words against him,” Behar said. “Let’s face it.”

Not the First Time for Behar

Behar was referring to the “lock her up” chants directed at Hillary Clinton that often erupted at Trump campaign rallies.

Nor was the first time she’s cheered this sentiment. Behar led The View audience in a “lock him up” chant after Michael Flynn plead guilty in 2017.

On Monday, co-host Sunny Hostin said, “The lock him up didn’t come from the suites. Those are the expensive seats.”

“Those came from the upper seats, the seats where I sat in as a kid,” Hostin continued. “Those aren’t the expensive seats. Those are the people seats. So I think that you have this fervor coming. I even saw banners, Veterans for Impeachment.”

“People are upset with this president,” she finished.

Trump Should Take the Boos as a Compliment Considering the Source

Despite Behar and the other hosts attempt to read too much into the incident, McCain got it right – this went down in Washington, D.C.

In other words, the Swamp doesn’t like the man who vowed to drain it. Not exactly a newsflash.

Not to mention, the mere fact that Washington, D.C. is so deadset against Donald Trump is a pretty good indication that he’s doing something right.
