James Mattis Helps Make-A-Wish Recipient

mattis make wish

Secretary of Defense James Mattis is best known for two things: his nickname ‘Mad Dog,” and his blunt aphorisms about the need to ruthlessly kill your enemy in war.

Here’s just a smattering of Mattis’s most quotable epigrams:

‘It’s quite fun to shoot them, you know. It’s a hell of a hoot. It’s fun to shoot some people.’

‘Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.’

‘There are some people who think you have to hate them in order to shoot them. I don’t think you do.’

Wow. No wonder President Trump picked him to be our Secretary of Defense!

But Mattis has a softer side, especially when it comes to young men who admire America’s armed forces. And that’s the side Mattis showed today, along with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General James Dunford.

According to the Daily Caller: “A young boy’s Make-A-Wish dream came true Monday when he got to visit the Pentagon and meet with Secretary of Defense General James Mattis and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General James Dunford.”

Check out these great photographs below:

I’m sure Cooper had an incredible time touring the Pentagon, especially meeting Sec. Mattis.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation helps grant children diagnosed with a critical illness a special wish of their choosing, whether it’s meeting a celebrity or going to a special location they’ve never visited. It’s a great charitable group, and one that all Americans can celebrate regardless of their political views.

Helping Cooper visit the Pentagon and meet the commanders of our armed forces was a wonderful gesture by the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

We commend Secretary Mattis, General Dunford, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation for making Cooper’s wish come true!
