Dramatic footage taken by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents reveals the extreme danger smugglers put families and young children through when illegally crossing the border.
The recently released footage was taken on Dec. 18 and Dec. 22 within the Custom and Border Patrol’s (CBP) Yuma Sector in Arizona. On both days, agents filmed smugglers pulling families, including children, through razor wire laid across the U.S.-Mexico border.
Speaking in Spanish, an agent can be heard yelling “Don’t do that! Look at the child!” in the Dec. 18 clip. The smuggler can be seen pushing a young boy through a hole in the metal bollard wall and past a coil of razor wire. “Hey, careful! Careful with the boy!” the agent continues as sirens go off in the background.
The CBP footage is the latest to showcase the dangers into which foreign nationals put themselves and their children when attempting to illegally cross the U.S. southern border. As more family units attempt to enter the U.S., more stories of rescues are being released.
A Guatemalan woman and her three children, ages 2, 4 and 15, were found drowning on Thursday as they attempted to pass through the Rio Grande River. Border Patrol agents were able to reach the family on an airboat and pull them to safety before it was too late.
“Migrants continue to ignore the hazards and risk their lives attempting to cross the Rio Grande River,” Del Rio Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Louie W. Collins said in a statement. “Had our Border Patrol agents not been in the area to respond quickly, the woman and her children would have more than likely drowned.”
A CBP spokesman said rescues like the one on the Rio Grande are happening more frequently.
“Rescues by BP agents along the Rio Grande have increased dramatically in recent months,” Dennis Smith, a CBP spokesman stated to The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Not only are immigration enforcement officials dealing with a higher influx of migrants, but they are also contending with a much higher numbers of family units and unaccompanied alien children (UAC).
Nearly 100,000 apprehensions are expected to have taken place in March, which would be the highest number in over a decade. CBP Commissioner Kevin McAleenan stated that, of those apprehended in March, nearly 40,000 of them were children, leaving greater “potential for a tragic incident” to happen.

So why are we rescuing them and bringing them to the US side? Rescue and drop off on the Mexico side. Use bean bag projectiles to knock those buggers off the fences they’re sitting on top of and posing on – knock them back into Mexico. Push people back through the fences into Mexico. Shoot to kill drug runners. Harsh, but that’s a lot milder than the Berlin Wall or other lethal borders…

I just cannot understand why these people who are not our citizens are treated so much better then are Veterans. I get so mad everytime I think of these invaders that push their way into our country and take and take and take while we have so many homeless people and we don’t take care of them. If the ASSHOLE Demoncrats would stop being such babies and do their job we wouldn’t have this problem. I hope everybody is paying attention and it shows on election day.
They do this because the children are not really theirs. Child traffickers sell kidnapped children to illegals for $20,000. so they can get early release if they’re a “family unit”. Who knows what happens to the child after that.
You don’t seem to realize the democrats wont allow anything to happen no matter how many drums are used. We are being invaded and that is that. Trump is allowing the invaders in so that is that. Our only hope is the people of this country will vote out the democrats in 2020 elections. We will have millions of millions more illegals on welfare by then. That is that.

I agree. Shut the faucet off of all freebies and no jobs unless they come the right way, get vetted and come on merit. Don’t let them put one foot on our soil if it takes firetrucks and hoses or military lined up with weapons. Enough is enough! Look at the streets of Seattle and other cities being ruined with so many homeless already littering all over and running rampant. ENOUGH! It’s time to deploy U.S. soldiers inside the No Man’s Land with full base camps, body armor and military weapons to block these ILLEGALS from entering our country. And I don’t mean the National Guard. We need the U.S Army and the Marines with full gear and tear gas masks.
Just because we’ve never done it that way before doesn’t mean we can’t do it now. The No Man’s land lies outside the territorial boundaries of the United States, so it does not infringe on Posse Comitatus. Moreover these Mexicans and Central Americans are NOT CITIZENS of the United States. They are acting as invaders, and many are coming here as ENEMIES. By all means, Trump must BUILD THE WALL. HE’s also got to DEPLOY THE U.S. MILITARY TONIGHT.
