Representative Ilhan Omar claimed on Twitter that President Trump could start a war with Iran to protect the revenue from his international hotels.
“He Could Provoke War with Iran”
In a tweet, Rep. Ilhan Omar said that the President needed to “immediately divest” from his businesses, claiming that “Iran could threaten Trump hotels,” which would cause the President to launch a full blown war against the country to stop it.
“His business interests should not be driving military decisions,” she claimed.
Trump needs to immediately divest from his businesses and comply with the emoluments clause. Iran could threaten Trump hotels *worldwide* and he could provoke war over the loss of revenue from skittish guests.

Just after the strike on one of Iran’s top military leaders, Qasem Soleimani, had occurred, Omar said that she would try and stop the President from starting any war with Iran.
“Will those with congressional authority step in and stop him? I know I will,” she said.

“We Will Stand Up Against the Whole World”
Omar’s tweet on Monday may have been prompted by one from Hesameddin Ashena, a top advisor to Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani. Their tweet included a video from Forbes that featured some of the buildings owned by the President, and a quote from Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
“I tell the whole world that if the world wants to stand up to our religion, we will stand up against their whole world,” the quote reads.

Ilhan Backing Iran?
It may come as no surprise that Omar is standing by the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Minnesotan representative was recently named as the biggest anti-semite of last year. In a poll conducted by stopantisemitism.org, she beat the white nationalist Richard Spencer, and Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam.

She “won” the top spot by suggesting American Jews had dual loyalty, that they only cared “about the Benjamins,” and accused Israel of “hypnotising the world,” among other offences.

The fact that she beat unavowed racists to the top spot of an anti-semitism list speaks volumes. Her desire to stop any conflict in Iran is not based at all on what’s best for America and her troops, but what is bad for Israel. She couldn’t give a hoot about this country, so I say we shouldn’t care about her opinion!
