Not to lose focus on the public health situation, but certain aspects regarding the responses of the market, the government, and people would be close to the same responses after a year under the socialist administration of President Bernie Sanders.
The lines, the hoarding, the falling stock market, the troops in the streets, the ban of free assembly, the business closures, the paucity of some merchandise on retail shelves, all would be the likely outcome if America loses its sanity and elects Bernie Sanders president.

A case in point occurred here in Maryland. Monday morning, by order of the governor:
“All bars, restaurants, gyms, and theaters will be closed at 5:00 p.m. tonight, March 16, 2020. Delivery and drive through operations will be permitted.” Under socialism they would go under permanently.
“Any social gathering of more than 50 people is prohibited.” Sanders couldn’t risk people getting together to plan opposition. No socialist can.
“Essential services will remain open and operational–banks, pharmacies, groceries, post offices, etc.” They will stay open by government order in a Sanders regime because they would be owned by the government.
“250 State Troopers and 1000 National Guardsmen are on duty to enforce compliance.” Uh-huh. Lots of troops. Also lots of desertions to the militias.
“Signed an executive order to see about opening closed hospital facilities to add an additional 6000 beds.” The hospitals would be closed in the first place because all the docs now live in a free country.
“Signed an executive order to prevent any utility (gas, electric, cable, phone, cell) from terminating service or charging late fees.” Price controls and economic direction from DC will be the norm.
“Signed an executive order preventing any eviction in the state.” Annnd rent controls, which kills the rental market.

We’re not saying our GOP Governor Larry Hogan, who is a good guy and pretty moderate, is jumping the gun here. Better safe than sorry and the political price to pay for not taking the proper precautions would be steep.
What we are saying is that a public health crisis and the perpetual political crisis that Sanders and socialism would bring have some stark similarities. After a month it’s said by pros this virus will be largely burned out. Not so for the at least four terrible and squalid years of a socialist presidency.
