According to the Washington Post, ICE officers say that President Joe Biden has effectively neutered the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency through heavy restrictions.
ICE deportations were at an an all-time low in April, with 2,962 illegal immigrants deported to their home countries, a direct result of new Biden administration policies.
"Under new Biden administration rules curtailing immigration enforcement, ICE carried out fewer than 3,000 deportations last month, the lowest level on record. The agency’s 6,000 officers currently average one arrest every two months." https://t.co/q2P2mkv7lM

WaPo On ICE: ‘Their Work Is Being Functionally Abolished’
The Washington Post reported, “Under new Biden administration rules curtailing immigration enforcement, ICE carried out fewer than 3,000 deportations last month, the lowest level on record.”
“The agency’s 6,000 officers currently average one arrest every two months,” WaPo noted.
“ICE under President Biden is an agency on probation,” the Post observed. “The new administration has rejected calls from some Democrats to eliminate the agency entirely, but Biden has placed ICE deportation officers on a leash so tight that some say their work is being functionally abolished.”
Far-left Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has pushed for the Biden administration to abolish ICE entirely, something the president, to date, has said he would not do.
Illegal immigration is at a 20-year-high since Biden took office.
Trump lavished ICE with praise and wanted "millions" of deportations. Under Biden, ICE is an agency on probation. His administration has rejected calls to eliminate ICE, but Biden has placed ERO officers on a leash so tight some say their work is being functionally abolished.

Immigration Czar Kamala Harris Hasn’t Even Visited The Border
This has created an unprecedented border crisis.
In March, Biden appointed Vice President Kamala Harris to lead efforts to address the illegal immigration crisis.
Harris has yet to visit the border.
In early May, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich called on the president to fire Harris as the administration’s “border czar.”
“To date, her response to the border crisis has been absolutely abysmal, so I am requesting that she be replaced as your ‘border czar,’” Brnovich wrote in a letter.
“We are not nearly 50 days into her appointment, and Vice President Harris has shown little interest in observing what is happening along the border and has failed to articulate any plan to deal with the devastating effects of this crisis,” Brnovich added.

Biden Admin Still Pointing Fingers At Trump
The White House has tried to blame the Trump administration for the crisis.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said during a press conference May 4, “After coming into office, our administration immediately jumped into action to address the influx of migrants at the border, something that began during and was exacerbated by the Trump administration.”
