This is going to send the liberal psyche into a tailspin.
This morning, the world received some welcome news: it appears the Korean War, which has been legally in effect for over half a century, will be ending. Earlier today, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un crossed the de-militarized zone. He was the first North Korean leader to do so since hostilities broke out during the Truman Administration.

That right there, ladies and gentlemen, is what historians call “history.” World-changing history, in fact.
A summit has begun between Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

Together, the leaders signed a pledge to end the Korean War:

President Trump announced the good news on Twitter as well:
KOREAN WAR TO END! The United States, and all of its GREAT people, should be very proud of what is now taking place in Korea!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 27, 2018
Surely, liberals will give Trump credit for this incredible accomplishment, right? I wouldn’t count on it. Look for Democrats to find an excuse to malign this great victory, probably labeling some mix of racism and hubris.
But, one highly esteemed liberal commentator just broke with the pack and dropped what will surely be a controversial opinion: Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for this. Ian Bremmer, a political scientist and founder of the Eurasia Group, just posted this on Twitter:
North, South Korean leaders commit to “No more war” on peninsula in joint statement.

I’ve been critical of Trump foreign policy missteps in past year: TPP, Paris, too many unnecessary missteps with allies to count.
But today’s historic North/South Korea breakthrough does not happen without priority & pressure from US President.
Trump deserves full credit.

Trump, Xi, Moon and Kim together get my vote for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Obviously, still a lot of work to do before there’s sustainable Peace.
But it’s not like the Nobel Committee doesn’t give Prizes in advance of accomplishment…

That’s a nice parting shot at Obama, who, if you remember, received the Nobel Peace Prize just for showing up to work his first day.
If this peace conference holds, and the agreement lasts, Trump will be a shoo-in for the prize.
Imagine the splatter from liberals’ heads exploding after that!
