Homeland Security Released 7000 Illegals Into U.S. In Last 5 Days

According to reports, about 7,000 illegal aliens apprehended by the Department of Homeland Security were released into the United States over the last five days.

Breitbart News obtained the latest DHS catch and release numbers and found that “about 1,400 border crossers and illegal aliens” are released “into the interior of the U.S. every day. Between April 18 to April 22, DHS released about 7,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the country.”

How is this happening?

The DHS catch and release process means immigration officials who capture undocumented border crossers and other illegal immigrants drop them off under the understanding that they will appear for their asylum hearings. Unfortunately, some of these dates don’t happen for years. For the overwhelming majority who are caught in this manner, they are never deported once settling down in the U.S.

“Today, there are anywhere between 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living across the country — the majority of which are concentrated in states like California, New York, Florida, Texas, and Illinois,” Breitbart reports. “Over the past five days, El Paso, Texas, has had to absorb 2,800 of the 7,000 border crossers and illegal aliens released into the country. Likewise, San Antonio, Texas, has had to take about 2,200, while about 1,200 were dropped off in Phoenix, Arizona, and 800 in San Diego, California.”

Our immigration system is out of control

In addition to these catch and release statistics, The Political Insider reported Wednesday, “U.S. high schools are graduating nearly 100,000 unauthorized immigrants per year, according to a study released Wednesday.”

100,000 illegals graduating from American high schools EVERY YEAR?

The Political Insider continues:

The Migration Policy Institute’s (MPI) research found 98,000 were graduating per year in 2016, an increase from 65,000 a year in 2003.

California, Texas and Florida graduated 50 percent of unauthorized immigrants.

The report cites several reasons for the increase in graduates like increase in illegal immigration and policies that support unauthorized immigrants to receive higher education.

“At this current trajectory, by the end of the year, DHS will have released nearly 460,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into American communities — in addition to the projected half a million illegal aliens who will successfully cross the U.S.-Mexico border this year, undetected by federal officials,” The Political Insider notes.

How can America continue to withstand such high numbers of illegals entering the country?
