Each Christmas season, a wealthy businessman anonymously gives out about a hundred thousand dollars to strangers. He usually poses as a Secret Santa. But, this year he enlisted help.
The generous man asked Kansas City, Missouri police officers to help him play the role of Santa to unsuspecting people. Many of the recipients were moved to tears as they thought they were getting pulled over for traffic violations but instead were handed hundred dollar bills. They targeted people who they felt could use and appreciate it the most.
The generous benefactor told CBS News that he wanted the officers to get “joy” out of spreading Christmas cheer to strangers. And the officers were greeted with tears, hugs, and excitement.
“You know, as tough as they are they have hearts that are bigger than the world.”
