Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton appeared with Greta Van Susteren last night and shredded Secretary of State John Kerry for his admission that money being given to Iran most likely will end up in the hands of terrorists.
“I really want to give props to Secretary Kerry,” Bolton began. “This man can embarrass himself endlessly and not even smile about it.”
Kerry said that while there is no evidence that funds have been attained by terrorists, “I’m sure at some point some of it will.”
Bolton countered:
“You know, this past summer when they signed the nuclear deal he was asked wouldn’t some of the unfrozen assets likely go to terrorist or nuclear programs, or states sponsors of terrorism. He said, no, Iran can’t do that. There is a U.N. resolution that forbids people from aiding terrorist groups that have been sanctioned by the U.N. and there are U.N. resolutions against using money for the ballistic missile program. And now, of course, he admits that these pieces of paper do absolutely nothing to stop Iran from allocating these funds any way they want to.”
A year ago, Kerry told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that “My prayer is that no solider will be killed as a consequence of anything Iran chooses to do.”
Others weren’t so sure, with one senior congressional aide asking “Can you imagine being an American solider fighting in Afghanistan learning the Iranian IED that just killed their friend was funded by U.S. sanctions relief?”
At that point it wouldn’t simply be embarrassing, it’d be borderline treasonous.

In October, Bolton called on Kerry to resign over the Iran deal.

And when a student asked how to turn back the tide of chaos that’s resulted from the American-led nuclear deal forged with Iran, Bolton offered blunt advice: “My recommendation for Secretary Kerry is that he resign,” he said, Breitbart reported.
Bolton went on: “Iran was never going to be negotiated out of its nuclear weapons program. The only alternative was the use of military force.”
