The folks at The Federalist Papers have highlighted a brilliant image that every whiny liberal should read: it’s called “That is offensive!”
The image is in response to an article highlighting some “delicate snowflakes” at an Arizona high school:
Robert Gehl reports some delicate snowflakes at an Arizona high school collapsed into a pile of sadness and rage that only a social media tantrum could subdue.
At Desert Ridge High School in Mesa, the librarian put up a humorous sign highlighting the school’s dress code, ABC News is reporting.
The poster has cartoons on it and claims that girls who come to school “looking pretty cute” makes boys “see them as meat, and it’s distracting.” The students make bad grades and go on to become unemployed and a burden on their future wives.
It’s a bit nothingburger and certainly not anything to be offended by.
But Alissa Adams, 18, was offended. She said “I don’t get offended easily, but this definitely crossed the line.” If this was offensive to Alissa, I suspect she’s pretty easily bothered.
She snapped a picture of it and – what else – posted it to twitter.
“This is up in my school and my librarian claims I’m the only one offended by it?? SERIOUSLY?” she posted.
She also took out a pen and wrote “So it’s the girls fault, right? #feminism.”
Adams said she asked the librarian who put up the poster, if it could come down, but the librarian refused. Only after a second, equally-delicate student complained did the poster come down and the apologies began.
“Hanging of the poster was inappropriate and very poor judgment on behalf of the librarian,” school spokeswoman Irene Mahoney Paige said in a statement. “It is not reflective of the spirit and community of Desert Ridge High School or the Gilbert Public Schools District.”
