GOP Senate Leader Mitch McConnell Supports President Biden’s $100 Billion Package For Israel, Ukraine

Senator Mitch McConnell admitted he is "generally in the same place" when it comes to President Biden's worldview and funding needs for Ukraine, as he expressed support for bundling aid for that war with appropriations meant for Israel.

Senator Mitch McConnell admitted that he is “generally in the same place” when it comes to President Joe Biden’s worldview and funding needs for Ukraine, as he expressed support for bundling continued aid for that war with appropriations meant for Israel.

McConnell’s comments came in an interview with CBS’s Margaret Brennan on “Face the Nation.”

The Senate Minority Leader praised Biden’s latest $106 billion aid request that primarily focuses on Ukraine while throwing some money at the Middle East conflict and a pittance for security at the southern border.

McConnell (R-KY) told Brennan that these areas of concern in foreign and national security are all “interconnected.”

“No Americans are getting killed in Ukraine. We’re rebuilding our industrial base. The Ukrainians are destroying the army of one of our biggest rivals,” he added. “I have a hard time finding anything wrong with that.”

McConnell Supports Aid Package Offering 10 Times More Funding For Ukraine Than the Border

President Biden’s aid package request for Congress, released on Friday, seeks $61 billion for Ukraine, $14.3 billion for Israel, and $6.4 billion for “border operations.”

That’s nearly ten times as much money for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s border than our own, and McConnell doesn’t seem to understand that those numbers should be reversed at the very least.

McConnell agrees with Biden’s effort to link the aid for Ukraine with that for Israel, which just suffered a terrorist attack that killed 31 Americans, with another 10 or so being held hostage by Hamas terrorists.

“Well, not on the domestic side, but on this issue that we — we’re discussing today, we’re generally in the same place,” McConnell said.

Let’s get this straight – McConnell is okay with $61 billion where Americans aren’t being killed, and just $14 billion where they were slaughtered along with over 1,400 Israelis? Make it make sense.

Furthermore, Americans immediately affected by the border crisis get thrown a bone of merely $6 billion for their own protection. Sounds like you’re generally in the same place when it comes to “the domestic side” as well, there Chief.

Elon Musk Called It

It’s ironing that it was just a few weeks ago that pro-war pundits were outraged when X CEO Elon Musk pointed out the obvious – that American politicians care more about securing Ukraine’s border than our own.

Musk’s estimate was that they cared about Ukraine “100 times more” than America’s own border crisis. He wasn’t that far off.

“Why do so many American politicians from both parties care 100 times more about the Ukraine border than the USA border?” he openly wondered.

Notice he didn’t break it into a left-right, Democrat-Republican thing. It’s a Uniparty thing. McConnell supports Biden. Kevin McCarthy supports Biden. Mitt Romney supports Biden. And they all support Ukraine over America.

McConnell, based on these latest comments, seemingly still agrees that the Ukraine-Russia war is the most important thing going on in the world at the moment.

Earlier this year McConnell said that he was “sorry public opinion is sliding,” but the war in Ukraine is “the single most important event going on in the world right now.”

It’s not. Israel is. China, probably even more so. As for America, it ranks well behind the border, inflation, gas prices, crime, and on and on and on. Not to mention the fact that the democracy we all hear about has morphed into a dictatorship before our very eyes.

But other than that, yeah, Ukraine is the pinnacle of all the problems facing this nation today.

Fortunately, Senator Tom Cotton has indicated the President’s proposed $106 billion aid package is “dead on arrival,” pointing out that it also includes funding for Gaza.

“President Biden’s slush fund proposal is dead on arrival, just like his budgets. We will not spend, for example, $3.5 billion to address the ‘potential needs of Gazans,’ essentially functioning as a resupply line for Hamas terrorists,” Cotton said in a statement.

“Nor will we spend $4.7 billion for housing, transportation, and ‘services’ for illegal aliens in the United States rather than deporting them,” he added.

Cotton (R-AR) expressed hope that Senate Republicans “will take the lead on crafting a funding bill that protects Americans and their interests.”

  1. McConnell is still a low life Backstabbing Reino kiss as that is also out to help Biden weaken our countries defenses for China in case, they plan on attacking us when Biden to gives them the go ahead as to when TO ATTACK. Don’t LAUGH Because anything is possible nowadays with all the lies that are being told to the People every day by Biden.

  2. where is the wording that requires funding be transferred from previously approved spending? and that spending should also include transfers fm UN and NATO support as proxy donations from other countries who SHOULD be interested in peace

  3. I remember when Paul Ryan was speaker. He did not even hold the budget up for discussion but simply approved it, because, he said, there was no time. He was also a RINO. There really is a uniparty. That must be why Trump was more of a reformer than any RINOs, because he was an outsider. Only a few Republicans would want to reform anything.

McConnell is a Democrat and is now open about his intentions. The man is bought and paid for by China and it looks like Ukraine has the poop on this man too. Mitch has become a burden and embarrassment on the Party and needs to go.

  5. Term limits. Term limits. Term limits. And if a politician is not representing his/her constituents, they should be removed. Not when their term is up, but right away. We have governor recall votes, it’s well past time we make that a regular thing with the feds, too.

It’s supposed to be WE, the PEOPLE. But the uni-party has been systematically turning it into Ruling Class and serving class. If you are not in government or a billionaire fundraiser for government, you are a peasant. Your opinions don’t matter. Your rights don’t matter. Your moral compass doesn’t matter. All that matters is you do what you’re told, earn money to give to the government, and you’ll go to prison if you stand up for what’s right.

    1. Close to 75% of the voting public demand term limits, yet Congress refuses to even bring it up. They don’t want their gravy train to end. Do not vote for anyone who does not support term limits. Make that the number one factor

  6. Mc Connell backs everything Biden does! He is a traitor to our party! He needs to back more funding for Israel, NOT Ukraine or the Palestinians! And more funding to build the wall on our southern border. Terrorists are strolling across our border, invading our country, and only one person is trying to stop it. Governor Abbott is doing all he can to secure the border in Texas, while the other border state governors are looking the other way, doing nothing to secure their portion of the border. Mc Connell needs to be removed as minority leader and Rand Paul put in as minority leader.

  7. McConnell and Biden are owned by China. McConnel’s wife’s family own the largest shipping company in China. This POS cares more about getting his foreign aid kickbacks than protecting our country or its’ people. He already received 89 Million in kickbacks from Ukraine aid according to a high ranking official in Ukraine.
