The Freedom Caucus is planning a special session on the floor of the House Wednesday evening in what is being considered the last chance effort to get funding for President Trump’s border wall.
The order will include speeches from some of Trump’s closest allies urging their colleagues to find a path to funding the proposed wall at the southern border. Sources tell Breitbart News that the “strategy is to amend any spending bill brought up in the House to fund Trump’s border wall and close various asylum loopholes.”
The move comes as the President himself has backed away from demanding a government shut down if he is not granted the $5 billion he deems necessary for the wall’s construction.
A short-term continuing resolution that Trump is expected to sign keeps the government operating until February, well past time when Democrats will regain control of the House. The resolution does not fund the wall.
Reports have said Senator John Cornyn expects the President to sign a ‘clean’ bill, but the Freedom Caucus doesn’t intend to concede just yet.

The House Freedom Caucus features some of the President’s biggest supporters. If anyone can turn impassioned speeches into action, it’d be his allies.
Chairman Mark Meadows, at one point a consideration as Trump’s Chief of Staff, has lambasted the continuing resolution, viewing it as a clear-cut victory for the Democrat Party.
Punting to Feb. 8 on a CR not only gives Democrats a Christmas present, it offers them a Valentine’s Day gift. Democrats will win, the wall will not be built, and Congress will once again have punted when we should’ve been taking a stand. The time to fight is now. Zero excuse.

Jim Jordan, another prominent member of the Caucus who was once a possible selection for House Minority Leader, has long been arguing to fund the border wall.
“Republicans still have an opportunity to do what we said,” he declared last month, signaling his party was running out of time. “We should fund the border security wall…”
It’s likely the Caucus will echo those sentiments, especially with time being even more precious for the Republican party as they face a resolution that will prevent border wall funding until Nancy Pelosi takes over. At which point, it will not stand a chance of receiving funding until the elections in 2020.

Warning shot
If the President has already made up his mind over signing the continuing resolution, this gathering of the Caucus becomes even more vital.
For it to bear any fruit, they must change Trump’s mind.
Conservative author Ann Coulter has warned that the border wall is a line in the sand – either it gets funded, or at the very least the President continues to fight for it, or the Republican Party will be finished.
“They’re about to have a country where no Republican will ever be elected president again,” she predicted.
Perhaps the House Freedom Caucus can save them from themselves.
Throw out all proposed legislation until our country’s border wall is funded to our President satisfaction. To date, President Trump has been correct on every promise, prediction and accomplishment.
Pray that God will continue blessing our country.

The failure of RINOs to go to the extreme measures for the Wall will make it next to impossible for the GOP to stand a chance in 2020. This could very well bring about the creation of a new party dedicated to the welfare of American citizens.
If President Trump signs the 2 week extension to keep the government open and not fight to secure the money for the wall, he will prove himself to be weak and a blowhard. Building the wall was the number one issue that got him elected, not prison reform.

Fancy nancy pelosi and upchuck schumer have already said they will fight that and I have no doubt that there will be republicans who will join with them to pass bills to prevent President Trump from taking money from other departments, agencies etc.. Then there will be the lawsuits and the judge shopping to stop President Trump from paying for the wall in this manner. They will find a judge to rule this as Unconstitutional then what will President Trump do.

President Trumps first and biggest mistake was not fighting this fight the first during the first spending bill in the first year of his administration which would have given him time for all the dust to settle down.

There have been those who have said that President Trump has a good political sense about him I disagree he has spent too much time on twitter and not enough time understanding who truly supported his positions on the wall and who did not. He aligned himself with the two biggest and worst swamp dwellers, paul ryan and mitch mcconnell, neither of which has supported building the wall. If they did the funding would have been authorized in the first year.

Why does the House have the final say on rather the border wall is built or not on the taxpayers dollar? Something as big and important as the border wall and what the wall is for should not be able to be defeated and laid to rest by a handful of conspiring Democrats who hate our President and are a clan of obstructionists!! The Democrats are not working for the betterment of the Country or for the will of the people.. Over 62 million voters voted for President Trump and elected him as our President on the strength of his campaign promises that he would carry out if elected President. Building a border wall was high on his agenda and the people that voted for him evidently were all for it too as they cheered him on by the thousands across America where ever he surfaced to campaign for the Presidency. This border wall is of most importance to be built with our country being over run by illegal invaders at our border. The number one job of our Congress and it’s members is to protect our country and our citizens at all costs. After three years of Trump ranting and raving about a wall, 60% of Americans don’t want his darn wall. In fact, a majority didn’t want him as president. He has a lot of nerve trying to spend our money on something most of us don’t want, that will take ranchers’ property, and will not stop drugs because almost all of them come through normal shipping channels. The number of dangerous criminals coming in is a drop in the bucket compared to the homegrown number, and meanwhile farmers have crops they can’t get picked. Trump is not a smart or stable guy.
Trump won’t survive to his next term if he doesn’t build the wall. Democrats are like hyenas; any scent of blood and they will start running in and taking bites of flesh.
Republican Congress are a bunch of whiners. They would rather whine than do something. They have controlled Congress for 8 years and have produced no support for Trump and his platform. Too many Republicans want open borders and no wall with unlimited immigration. We elected these people to build a wall. So do it.
Heck with them. Have the Army Corp of Engineers do it.
If Mr. Trump does not find a way to build the border wall he will be an onetime president.

This is one time I actually agree with Ann. If republicans don’t start getting behind this presidents’ agenda that WE VOTED FOR (and they promised)the price will be steep come election time. Personally I think maybe it’s time for the freedom caucus to start their own party and let the GOP officially merge with the democrats. WE ARE SICK OF BEING LIED TO AND BETRAYED!! President Trump is doing all he can he needs support from his own party to deliver.
Here’s an idea: The Freedom Caucus should insert a rider to the CR authorizing President Trump to use military funds for construction of the Wall.
Ann Coulter and others like her better get wise, and stop telling the people “if Trump doesn’t build the wall no more Republicans will get elected!” Does she think this is a REAL threat or is she really secretly on the other side? The man is doing as much as possible considering what he faces each and every day in the way of opposition! Sharo, I agree. Some of these “so called” Trump supporters, (fair weather friends) ignore ALL the good he has done, if they do not see results immediately. Trump is much smarter than the “average bear” and America’s wall WILL be built. He ALWAYS has a plan and wins.
I think that Ann is a flake, she has flipped and flopped for and against Trump so much that she no longer makes any sense. Anyone that thinks a president can just snap his fingers and get something done is wanting a dictator and not a law abiding president. Is our population that ignorant about Civics that they think a president can go around Congress to get what they want done? The Republicans only have a simple majority right now in both branches of Congress and without some Socialist Democrats crossing the isle there are not enough votes to pass any legislation.
