Fox News Host Sean Hannity Threatens To Sue NYT If They Don’t Apologize And Retract False COVID-19 Story

n their quest to destroy President Trump, The New York Times has devolved into total fake news.

Fox News host Sean Hannity just sent a brutal message to The New York Times, threatening to sue the publication if they do not retract and apologize for including him in a COVID-19 story.

A lawyer representing Hannity sent a letter to retract a story that connected statements Hannity made about coronavirus to a man who later died of the illness. The letter claimed that the Times had exhibited “blatant and outrageous disregard for the truth in mischaracterizing Mr. Hannity’s coverage of the coronavirus pandemic and blaming him for the tragic death of Joe Joyce.”

The story in question was published on April 18, and detailed how Joyce’s family had said that he was an avid Fox News fan who believed that COVID-19 was a hoax meant to hurt President Donald Trump’s reelection chances.

The letter goes on to point out that Joyce left the U.S. for the cruise on which he ended up contracting the virus on March 1, while Hannity did not make the comments that the Times claimed influenced him until over a week later on March 9.

“Moreover, you were fully aware that this was the actual timeline, and in order to mislead your readers and support your false narrative, you withheld the date of Mr. Hannity’s comments from your story,” the letter continued. “We demand that you promptly remove the foregoing false and defamatory statements from the Stories and any subsequent republications in print or any other medium, and publish a full, fair and conspicuous retraction, correction and apology as to each of the false and defamatory statements identified above.”

In their quest to destroy President Trump, The New York Times has devolved into total fake news. We’re glad to see that Hannity is fighting back against them, and we hope they think twice before spreading lies about conservative personalities again.
