Federal Judge Delays Request to Cross-Examine Hillary Clinton on Email and Benghazi Controversies

Hillary Clinton probably won’t know until after New Year’s Day if she will face direct cross-examination about her email scandal and handling of Benghazi.

On December 19, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Royce C. Lamberth delayed a ruling on a request by the government watchdog organization Judicial Watch to question under oath Clinton and her former Chief of Staff, Cheryl Mills.

“Well, we’ll wait and see,” Judicial Watch’s lead attorney on the case, Ramona Cotca, told The Epoch Times. “I don’t know if he’s going to do anything before Christmas at this point. I would expect the order to come probably after the first of the year.”

The scandals surrounding Benghazi and Clinton’s potential misuse of an insecure private email server located in her New York home are both focuses of a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed in 2014.

The lawsuit seeks information about how the government handled the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya by Islamic extremists that happened while Clinton was serving as President Barack Obama’s  Secretary of State. Four Americans were killed in that attack, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

In this litigation against the State Department, documents obtained led directly to exposing  in March 2015 that Clinton had used her private email system from 2009 to 2013 to conduct official U.S. diplomatic business.

It was learned that dozens of highly sensitive classified materials were sent to and from Clinton on the system. The FBI believes such correspondence was vulnerable to compromise by hackers outside the United States

Lamberth called Clinton’s email system “one of the gravest modern offenses to government transparency” in a December 2018 ruling. In September, Lamberth encouraged Judicial Watch to “shake this tree” and blasted the State Department, saying, “There is no FOIA exemption for political expedience, nor is there one for bureaucratic incompetence.”

Will Judicial Watch finally be able to get answers from Hillary Clinton about what really happened regarding Benghazi and her email servers?

Perhaps even more importantly, will she like what comes out of that exchange?

  • F NO I WISH IT WAS BIGGER SO IT WILL REGISTER IN EVERY PERSON'S MIND HOW MUCH THEY NEED TO GO TO GITMO OR WORSE!! THEY ARE TRATORS TO THIS USA AND THAT CAN NOT BE PUSHED UNDER THE RUG!!

  • Just an observation
If say any of the clintons or obamas or their minions no longer in government service, are fair game,
So if say an illegal or ms13 refugee killed any or all of them, they would face a state crime, no death penalty enforced in most demorat controlled states. BUT if they are a sitting judge, politicians etc and are killed then that is a federal crime and death penalty.
SO consult a good criminal lawyer before killing anyone but ex pos ..fair game...lololol
