Fauci Is Out: White House Doc Announces Retirement

By Dr. Derek Ellerman

Dr. Anthony Fauci – either the greatest hero the world has ever known or the world’s greatest villain, depending on who you ask – announced that he is stepping down from his roles as the world’s most visible doctor.

Fauci, who currently serves as boss of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and chief medical advisor at the White House, will step down before 2023

Fauci Announces ‘Retirement’

In a statement released by Fauci, he touted his work on various health threats: “HIV/AIDS, West Nile virus, the anthrax attacks, pandemic influenza, various bird influenza threats, Ebola and Zika, among others, and, of course, most recently the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Incredibly, Fauci has been the Director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since the Reagan administration.

And interestingly, Fauci includes this line: “I am particularly proud to have served as the Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden since the very first day of his administration.”

38 years on the job and he is most proud of the last 18 months under perhaps the most unpopular President in 100 years?

But Fauci is not retiring completely. He notes:

“While I am moving on from my current positions, I am not retiring. After more than 50 years of government service, I plan to pursue the next phase of my career while I still have so much energy and passion for my field. I want to use what I have learned as NIAID Director to continue to advance science and public health and to inspire and mentor the next generation of scientific leaders as they help prepare the world to face future infectious disease threats.”

Dr. Fauci is currently the highest-paid federal employee. His $417,000 salary is even higher than that of the President

According to Open The Books, Fauci’s pension will be higher than the President’s salary.

As you can imagine, reaction to Fauci’s announcement brought cheers from the left, and jeers from the right.
