Don Lemon Doesn’t Want Americans To Hear President’s Coronavirus Briefings

CNN anchor Don Lemon suggested his network should no longer carry coronavirus press briefings by the President because he “keeps lying.”

Lemon made the comments during a typical show exchange between him and colleague Chris Cuomo. These conversations frequently spark Lemon to reveal his true anti-Trump nature.

Never Tell the Truth

Lemon explained that the coronavirus briefings are little more than a staged event like the President’s past reality TV shows.

“I have said I don’t think that you should really listen to what he says, you should listen to what the experts say,” Lemon told Cuomo. “I’m not actually sure, if you want to be honest, that we should carry that live. I think we should run snippets.”

He added, “I think we should do it afterwards and get the pertinent points to the American people because he’s never, ever going to tell you the truth.”

It’s a Plot!

Odd, I don’t recall Lemon demanding his network stop airing Barack Obama briefings when he was going against his experts in the field regarding a surge in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Cuomo interjected, suggesting he understands Lemon’s “frustration” but disagreeing on the need to stop airing White House press briefings.

Lemon, undeterred by common sense, went on to voice his opinion that the briefings are an orchestrated plot that amounts to free air time for a MAGA rally.

“It is all a plot! It is all orchestrated. And if you can’t see it, I don’t know what you’re looking at. It’s obvious, it’s transparent to me,” he insisted. “This has become – those press briefings have become his new ‘Apprentice.’ They’ve become his new rallies.”

“He treats the press and the media as if he’s talking to the people at his rallies.”

Sour Lemon

Later on in the segment, Lemon mocked Trump by telling Cuomo to ask a “real question,” an obvious bitter response to the President undressing Jim Acosta earlier in the day when the CNN reporter tried taking quotes out of context.

“Instead of asking a nasty, snarky question like that, you should ask a real question,” Trump shot back.

“It’s people like you and CNN that say things like that that is why people just don’t want to listen to CNN anymore,” he added.

The President noted that many of his earlier comments were meant to keep people calm. Again, nobody on CNN criticized Obama when he downplayed the ISIS threat during his presidency, calling them the JV team and insisting they had been “contained” one day prior to a major attack in Europe.

Trump summed up CNN’s blatant hatred of the President through their coverage last week:

“I have no time for stupidity. We’re working around the clock to KEEP AMERICA SAFE!”

CNN Fears Trump Countering Their Lies

Lemon believes he’s discovered an “obvious” plot with his conspiracy theory.

Of course, this is the same man who thinks he’s smarter than all of you ‘boomer rube’ Trump supporters.

What Lemon is advocating for here is to air his network’s lies and sensationalism regarding the coronavirus while simultaneously taking away a platform for the President to counter their coverage.

Because they know what’s right and Trump (and his supporters) do not.

In reality, polls show the American people trust what the President is telling them over what the media is telling them.

In that case, maybe it’s CNN that should stop being aired.
