The new Disney documentary on Doctor Anthony Fauci is getting some brutal reviews from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes.
The documentary features Fauci, the Biden administration’s top infectious disease specialist, and chronicles his career and rise as a public figure during the pandemic.
Disney describes the Fauci documentary as “a revealing portrait of one of our most dedicated public servants, whose work saved millions.”
Top critics on Rotten Tomatoes seem to agree with that assessment, but audience reviews have come to a different conclusion, giving an ‘audience score’ of just 2%.
REVIEW: Former Trump Advisor Peter Navarro Says He Told President Multiple Times To Fire Fauci
Audience Reviews on the Fauci documentary weren’t nearly as kind as those coming from actual critics on the Rotten Tomatoes site.
“I expected some propaganda and ended up with a sizable helping,” one reviewer wrote.
“It was less informative as a documentary on Fauci and felt more like a long advertisement for a political candidate,” another wrote.
Other reviews suggested Disney missed an opportunity to actually dive deep into Fauci’s role in leading America down a path of pandemic fatigue and skepticism.
The documentary “does not ask the hard questions” or “challenge his lies” one reviewer accuses.
“It is the most blatant propaganda doc of this sort I have ever seen in my life,” another wrote. “Not one critical thing to say, everything is Fauci as moral crusader vs. an uncomprehending and scornful world.”

Peter Navarro, a former trade adviser to Donald Trump, recently slammed Doctor Anthony Fauci as an “evil” man whom he advised the former President to fire on at least two occasions.
“Make no mistake about this,” Navarro continued. “He is evil because he was at the American bureaucracy that used taxpayer dollars” to pursue gain-of-function experiments – an allegation Fauci has denied.
Fauci has been accused of lying to Congress about U.S. funding for coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Internal documents obtained by The Intercept through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit show the NIH provided a “bat coronavirus grant” to a group called the EcoHealth Alliance.
Fauci repeatedly insisted during Senate testimony that the research funded by the NIH at the Wuhan lab did not qualify as “gain-of-function.”
Senator Rand Paul has consistently accused Dr. Fauci of “lying” during his Senate testimony.
“You do not know what you are talking about quite frankly and I want to say that officially,” Fauci responded.
Brian Lowry, a CNN critic, disagreed with the audience reviews of the Disney documentary and said detractors “have seemingly twisted [Fauci’s] image beyond recognition in their attempts to demonize him.”
