Democrats Kill Small Business Relief Bill

Democrats hold up help for businesses during this national crisis.

Money

On Thursday morning Senate Democrats killed a request by President Trump and Senate Republicans to refill a depleted fund to help small businesses through the economic consequences of the coronavirus.

$250 billion was to be used to shore up the fund. The GOP wanted it done by unanimous consent to get the aid quickly to small businesses. But Democrats are up to their old tricks, trying to add on racial quotas and other items they could not get passed in the last bill.

Now small businesses face the possibility of running out of money to operate and to pay their employees. The Democrats once again show that their priority is politics, not the country or its people.

“To my Democratic colleagues, please do not block emergency aid you do not even oppose just because you want something more,” McConnell asked to no avail. Now a potentially delayed full vote will have to be taken.
