If this doesn’t prove that Democrats are a bunch of lying scoundrels who are exploiting a young woman to destroy President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee then nothing will.
By now, dear reader, you know the story: Over the weekend, Christine Blasey Ford came forward and accused Brett Kavanaugh, Trump’s SCOTUS nominee, of sexually assaulting her while she was in high school. Ford made these allegations months ago in a letter to Senator Dianne Feinstein. Feinstein sat on them for months and just so happened to release the details only a few days before the Senate Judiciary Committee is set to vote on Kavanaugh.
Now, Feinstein is engaging in more delay tactics to hold up the vote. She is refusing to assist Senator Chuck Grassley in setting up follow-up calls for Kavanaugh and Ford. (RELATED: Senator Dianne Feinstein Won’t Set Up Call for Kavanaugh Accuser to Testify.)
After Grassley attempted to set up a private call with Kavanaugh, Democrats as a whole on the Committee refused to participate:

This claim is b.s. on the merits. A sexual assault is not a federal matter to be handled by the FBI. At best, it’s a state matter, namely in Maryland, where the alleged incident occurred.
It’s also nonsense because Democrats are supposed to be Ford’s biggest advocates right now. If the allegations were truly serious, they’d be doing everything they can to uncover the truth, as soon as possible.
By refusing to participate in the call, Democrats show they have no intention of getting to the bottom of Ford’s allegations. They’re only using an alleged sexual assault victim to malign the credibility of Kavanaugh. This is about stopping him only, not getting justice for someone who claims to have been violently groped three decades ago.
President Trump has indicated he’s open to delaying the confirmation vote on Kavanaugh until we learn more information about the accuser. (RELATED: President Trump Is Open to a Delay on Kavanaugh Confirmation Following Abuse Allegations.) Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee are obliging this request and will hold a hearing next week.
Democrats’ participation in that hearing will truly determine if this is a serious allegation or a total fraud.
Your move, Dianne.
