Democrat Senator Joe Manchin Just Dared Beto to Take His Guns

Senator Joe Manchin, a West Virginia Democrat, offered a blistering rebuke of presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke’s plan to confiscate guns from law-abiding Americans.

Robert Francis has been desperately trying to stand out in the field of candidates vying for the Democrat nomination, proving his hipster bonafides through course language and bragging that he’s going to take away everyone’s guns.

“Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your ak-47,” he said through wild arm gestures at the latest debate. “We’re not going to allow it to be used against a fellow American anymore.”

Manchin hammered O’Rourke for creating an unconstitutional platform in which all Democrats will be lumped into.

“Beto’s one human being. He gave his own opinion, OK?” Manchin told a Wall Street Journal reporter. “I think it was very harmful to make it look like all the Democrats.”

Then he really laid into O’Rourke:

“I can tell you one thing: [Beto ORourke’s] not taking my guns away from me. You tell Beto that OK?”

Man, seeing a confrontation between these two would be incredible. Manchin with his firearms, Beto, fresh from the local Starbucks rapping on his front door demanding he hand them over.

Who do you think would win that fight?

Senator Chris Coons, speaking to CNN, also took aim at the Texas Democrat saying, “I don’t think having our presidential candidates, like Congressman O’Rourke did, say that we’re going to try and take people’s guns against their will is a wise policy or political move.”

O’Rourke says his fellow Democrats are wrong, and he has proof in an exchange he had with a Republican at a urinal in the Buc-ee’s Beaver bathroom.

As ridiculous as that might sound, he did actually make that claim.

“New O’Rourke anecdote,” Texas Tribune reporter Patrick Svitek wrote. “He says a longtime Republican chatted him up today in [Buc-ee’s Beaver] bathroom on guns.”

“He said, ‘This is gonna be strange — not strange that I’m talking to you while we’re both at a urinal … but strange because I’m telling you you’re absolutely right on guns,” he added.

Yea, that didn’t happen buddy.

Manchin, meanwhile, a more moderate Democrat, has had other significant disagreements with Beto.

He voted for legislation to provide funding for a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico and cheered during President Trump’s State of the Union speech in which he called for a ban on late-term abortions.

Robert Francis, by contrast, has called walls immoral and racist, and told a man his mother should have had the right to abort him up until birth.
