Democrat Candidate Castro PRAISES Nike’s Controversial BETSY ROSS Flag Decision

We always celebrated our country on the 4th of July. We always loved and respected what the American flag stood for. It was only after Obama’s hatred of “everything American,” that this sick insanity started.

Democratic presidential candidate Julián Castro seemed to be happy as a lark about the decision to remove the Betsy Ross flag from new sneakers for this 4th of July.

The historical person known as Betsy Ross was a Quaker. She was a firm abolitionist in keeping with her Quaker Beliefs! There is a logical fallacy called “Anachronism,” this consists of judging people of a different age by today’s standards! Democrats always do this.

Perhaps if our schools started teaching our history again that information would be available. His comparison of the Betsy Ross flag to the Confederate flag only shows his own ignorance.

Democratic presidential hopeful Julián Castro on Wednesday praised Nike’s controversial decision to pull shoes featuring the Betsy Ross flag, saying the early flag design that represents the Thirteen Colonies evokes pain among some Americans, much like Confederate symbols.

“I was glad to see that,” the former Housing and Urban Development Secretary said on CBS News about Nike’s decision to scrap the Betsy Ross design, the Washington Free Beacon reported. “And my hope is that they didn’t just do it to do it — that they understand the significance there.

“Look, there are a lot of things in our history that are still very painful — the Confederate flag that still flies in some places and is used as a symbol,” Mr. Castro continued. “And I believe that we need to move toward an inclusive America that understands that pain — that doesn’t wipe it away from history in the sense that it still belongs in a museum, or we need to read about it and understand the significance, because that’s how you learn and make sure that we don’t make the same mistakes in the future — but does not glorify it, does not celebrate it.” [Washington Times]

Does Castro realize minorities were actually proud of what they did to help propel the country forward under that flag?

Democrats continue to push identity politics. Crispus Attucks (half black & half native) was the first person killed in the Boston Massacre and thus the first American killed in the American Revolution War. There were numerous people of African descent (aka Americans) that fought under the Betsy Ross Flag, the Gadsden or “don’t tread on me,” and many more.

The people really need to learn a bit of American History, especially if you are running for president.
