After suffering countless delays, Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford is set to testify this Thursday. Ford and her legal team did literally everything they could to delay her testimony as long as possible, including demanding an FBI investigation (after the FBI already said they wouldn’t investigate), and claiming that she can’t come to D.C. to testify because she’s afraid of flying (but used to work in Hawaii).
Another accuser that came forward, Deborah Ramirez, is refusing to testify. A common theme with the Kavanaugh accusers is that all the witnesses they’ve identified have refuted their accounts. Given that those witnesses were submitting their answers under penalty of perjury, it means the only people positively identifying Kavanaugh as an abuser are the ones who won’t say so under oath. While Ford is set to testify tomorrow, I have my doubts it’ll actually happen.
Ramirez’s story is particularly shaky, with the New Yorker article publishing her claims admitting that “there are significant gaps in her memories of the evening.” Also, when she was first contacted by The New Yorker, “she was reluctant to characterize Kavanaugh’s role in the alleged incident with certainty.” It took Ramirez six days of ruminating on the incident to determine that it was Kavanaugh who exposed himself to her, despite claiming she wasn’t sure prior to. Funny how far a little coaxing from the media goes.
The New Yorker admitted in their own article that they didn’t confirm with “other eyewitnesses that Kavanaugh was present at the party” he allegedly accosted her at.
And even worse for Ramirez’s narrative, her own best friend says that she never heard of any incident involving Kavanaugh…. and says the allegations are political. And that’s her best friend saying that!
This is incredible. The new accuser’s best friend says she didn’t see or hear about this despite them sharing the intimate details of their lives. Not only that but the golden kicker to it all? She suggested that Ramirez is making the accusation because of political motivations. https://t.co/I543xhkg1d

And that’s not the half of it. According to the Wall Street Journal’s Kimberly Strassel, Ramirez, like Ford, is doing everything she can to not come forward with her story, but to delay Kavanaugh’s confirmation indefinitely. After giving The New Yorker an allegation even they acknowledge is unsubstantiated, Ramirez seems to have no further interest in speaking.
Ramirez’s attorney John Clune appeared on CNN’s Anderson Cooper last night to discuss his client’s allegations, and
2) First majority email goes Sunday, Sept 23, two days ago, hours from when New Yorker story runs, 7:43 pm. It goes to attorneys, notes story, asks when Ramirez is available for interview. Says it is "determined" to take statement and "investigate further."
— Kimberley Strassel (@KimStrassel) September 26, 2018
4) Few mins later, majority says thanks, but asks again if Ramirez has evidence/statements she is willing to provide to committee? Ramirez attnys defer to as-yet-undefinite call. Majority responds that before "next steps" (call), does Ramirez have evidence/testimony? (3rd ask)
— Kimberley Strassel (@KimStrassel) September 26, 2018
6) Majority instantly responds it "welcomes" any evidence in form of "email or letter" to chairman/ranking, or same from counsel, or statement to committee investigators. (4th ask)
— Kimberley Strassel (@KimStrassel) September 26, 2018
8) Majority responds, again, that before next steps (call), they need to know if Ramirez has evidence other than that in New Yorker article, and will she provide evidence/testimony to investigators? (5th ask) Again they would "welcome" that evidence, in any official form.
— Kimberley Strassel (@KimStrassel) September 26, 2018
10) A few hours later, Majority makes 6th request for information/statement. Then Mr. Clune goes on CNN to complain at length about Majority "game playing."
— Kimberley Strassel (@KimStrassel) September 26, 2018
12) Finally, as you can read, claim by Clune that GOP "blew off scheduled call" (CNN headline) is flat out falsehood. Majority always said testimony/evidence first.Says something that an attny resorts to such deceptions. And that CNN wud report w/o checking.

Only 25% of women and 28% of men find Ford’s allegations credible, and that’s according to a post from the left-wing Huffington Post.
How many of you find Ramirez’s credible? I certainly don’t.
